Re: 1L Exam Prep and Motivation Thread (ROUND 2 SUCKAS)
Crim law tomorrow morning and then I'm all finished. I feel like I slipped up on con law, so getting an A- is necessary here to stay around top 10-15%, which is exactly where I'd like to be. I don't even consider writing competition part of 1L year. The stress relief that will result from the end of exams will totally carry me through the next week of writing.

I'm sitting here contemplating just going into Property tomorrow and "winging it".

Yea I'd probably do the same with a takehome, but this is a straight up timed & proctored open-book issue spotter + policy question.
I'm literally learning property in one night because of my exam schedule + our professor simply didn't teach during class. Now I'm just reading through old outlines and case summaries from the TA's. According to said TA's, almost all the issue-spotters get answered "correctly", therefore the professor relies on the policy question to differentiate grades. The TA's, who all aced his exam last year, strongly suggest "creative" answers based on the philosophical discussion of property near the beginning and end of our casebook.
Given that, I'm hardly motivated to do anything more than a short attack-outline and think of silly ways to apply the "bundle of sticks" v. "right to use/exclude" v. "safeguard of liberty" arguments to various issues that will likely come up.

Oh god I've got so much shit to do now that I think about it.Transpher wrote:Done in 5 hours.

I've got to turn in a bunch of forms tomorrow, pack up and figure out where I'm going to store anything I own that won't fit in my luggage, Pick up writing competition stuff, figure out where I'm going to live in DC this summer, clean remainder of apartment, and then get on an early Saturday flight to Hong Kong. Ugh, exams are starting to look appealing now.

Re: 1L Exam Prep and Motivation Thread
Property exam in 8 hours, and then I'll be drunk.....I think I'm as ready as I'll ever be. I managed to shove all 60 pages of my outline onto a 1-page cheat sheet (front and back) with all the rules and cases. And, it's all color coded (major topics in yellow, cases in blue, subtopics in pink). Granted, its only a 2 hour exam, which includes 9 multiple choice, a huge issue spotter and a policy question. The policy question can be on anything set forth in one of five 50-60 research papers my professor wrote. Yes, we were responsible for her law review articles. I highly doubt anyone will finish. I hate, hate, hate this class. Too much material for a one-semester Property class.

Re: 1L Exam Prep and Motivation Thread
It is all a little surreal that 1L will be over soon. Just knowing there is freedom on the other side of my last exam is motivation enough for me now.
