And now all but one grade is in. They all waited right up to the deadline. The only way my GPA is going down is if I get a C+ in Property. I completely slacked off this semester and didn't get my head in the game until halfway through. A lot lazier than my first semester neurotic approach.

Needless to say, I'm a bit confused.

I was the same way. I felt like a lazy ass this semester, though it seemed to be a common sentiment among members of my section. Maybe it was just that we all started to get the hang of law school after the first semester, whereas we had no idea what to do the first semester. Either way, I still have no grades. FML.

Woo! Raised my GPA from a 3.633 last semester to a 3.69 at the end of this semester. I felt like I slacked a lot more this semester and definitely partied/drank more. Oh well it worked out in the end. I think I'm around number 10 in my class out of 230/240 people.

Way improved on LRW from last semester: B--->A. No other grades.

I did fairly well last semester in the real courses, but this semester, I felt subjectively like I did much worse in them.

Please tell me the theory of negative grade correlation between LRW and real classes is a myth.

It's a myth. My grades were pretty correlated last semester.

I keep accidentally stumbling upon my grades. Need to stop randomly checking them; it's ruining my plan to only look after all are posted. Definitely not looking until I get both Con Law and Crim, though - it's going to be way too depressing just getting Con Law first.

I got that today too. I'm still waiting on 3 grades though, ugh. I thought the day for them to turn them in was June 4, but our immigration prof in his assignment paper says the last day is something like June 12th. That feels so far away.

All grades are in. I really underperformed in classes I thought I would do well in, but kicked ass and took names in classes I was expecting like a B or even B- in. It worked out though, fairly happy with the end result.

Got crim back. Medianpwned. Fucking exams with word limits. HORSE SHIT.

Thankfully I booked property. Somehow.

All that's left now is con law. If I book it, I can probably squeak by in the top 10. If A-, top 12ish. If I get another mediapwned, I'll be down to the top 18ish or so.

What a dumb semester. Harumph.

While I do not really like word limited exams either, they certainly test your knowledge and how succinctly you can make your point much better than word-spewing, race-horse in-class and unlimited worded exams. How many words you can type shouldn't be the determinative factor in your class rank IMO.

You can just be thankful I guess that you weren't at law school in my section. Four out of six of my 1L exams were word limited.
