Re: The write-on thread
I asked one of my profs about that, td. My grades are pretty decent and I was surprised when I made the secondary journal, and he basically said it would be crazy to turn down any journal, period. He told me that regardless of subject matter working on a journal will make my writing better, which I'm all about.
So probably needless to say but I've accepted a place on a secondary journal and I'm sort of excited about it (law school is making me a masochist?)

Sagely 3L advice: If you don't hear anything by 8:30, it's probably not happening. IIRC, they sent out the email notification last year around 8:45.beach_terror wrote:JOURNAL DECISIONS TODAY, AHHHHH

Damn, that's a long time to wait. This will be me from ~6:45 until the email/or call:ObLaDiObLaDa wrote:Sagely 3L advice: If you don't hear anything by 8:30, it's probably not happening. Ugh me too. Tuesday nights I typically go to quiz night at the local bar with friends, but I decided to stay home tonight. It's probably the wrong decision since I have a feeling I'm going to be needing a strong drink around 8:45.

I should go buy a bottle of Scotch for this. WHY DID I NOT THINK OF THIS?! These waiting moments are what make law school the worst. FWIW, I'm also staying in tonight. If we have to, we can get drunk alone and both flood this thread with drunken wimperings.ObLaDiObLaDa wrote:Ugh me too. With every minute that passes, my self-esteem takes more of a hit. I wonder how they call - in order of how they ranked your submission, ABC order, or some other way? Sigh.

I'm totally guessing it's LR first. Let's hope it's alphabetical though.ObLaDiObLaDa wrote:beach_terror wrote:No lie, this is how I feel right now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azeK3-pv2CE (like the chick)I had my speakers turned all the way up and when that bag moved, I screamed a little.

Also, do you know if grade on's already accepted? Or if they're called now to officially accept. I know they were notified, but did they have to accept or reject?

I honestly don't know. I have a few friends who graded on, but I don't remember how the process went.beach_terror wrote:I'm totally guessing it's LR first. Let's hope it's alphabetical though.

This is torture. I just want it to be an hour from now so that I can accept that I didn't make it and move on with my life.

Still waiting too. I've given up and started blasting "Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da" by the Beatles to cheer myself up.

Re: The write-on thread
Is it bad that I've started plotting writing my own submission to other school law reviews in an attempt to get published somewhere else?

Hey...you've got that going for you beach_terror. At least you can maybe try to be a 3L law review grade-on.
The real question is what time is the "we've notified everyone" email going to come out? I'm guessing about 8:52.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
