Yeah, graded LWR ruined me. I literally met with my prof every week for a month to go over edits for my appellate brief and in the end I got the same grade I have been getting the entire year with the only comments being "You could be more detailed".jsarna1 wrote:You really have no idea how much graded LRW sucksThirteen wrote:+1Holly Golightly wrote:I really wish ours were not graded. hahaNancyBotwin wrote:Really wishing LRW WERE graded here...got High Honors, which would have been an A, which would have seriously boosted my gpa.(but

How do you know if you've CALI'd a course or not?
Do they e-mail you or can you see it when you check your grade?

I had to ask Records and they told me. If the professor gives out A+'s that could be another clue.Gamecubesupreme wrote:How do you know if you've CALI'd a course or not?

I'm beginning to regret the fact that I didn't get the + in the course I CALI'd. That extra 0.3 on the GPA would have made a B sting a lot less.

Ha good to know. I've always wondered what people meant when they said they CALI'd. I mean, I figured it had to mean something good lol.MBZags wrote:--LinkRemoved--Gamecubesupreme wrote:How do you know if you've CALI'd a course or not?

I worked harder on trial brief than any other LRW all yr. Got a shit grade. Worked less hard on appellate brief. Must have done really well because I got a not shitty final grade. Graded LRW is stupid.BarbellDreams wrote: Yeah, graded LWR ruined me. IN to add to the LRW confusion:
I got less than an A- on my first semester memo. The only meaningful comment on the memo said: "continue to analogize and distinguish your case from the case law."
So, the second semester I analogized and distinguished the shit out of my case from the case law. The only comment on my memo was: "Jack Duluoz, good work."
---and i got the same exact grade. WTF?

Well, wrong already, Crim = Civ Proweee wrote:I'll just go with my relative scaling again

I'm pretty certain that LRW is going to be my worst grade of 1L at this point.

Last grade is in. I doubt I'll be able to transfer, but my GPA didn't fall as much as I had feared. Good luck to everyone still waiting!!!

I don't know what to do. My GPA plummeted, but I have a good summer job, and last semester I had something bad happen 6 weeks before finals that undoubtedly affected me. First semester grades were good. Do I stay put?

School range and class rank? Also, one semesters worth of good grades is one semester more than over 50% of your class.SmittenMitten wrote:I don't know what to do. Northwestern doesn't even give out book awards like some others in the T13 do (save for one award for the best in you legal writing section, which el-oh-el)plum wrote:so the only TTT14s that do this are GULC/Cornell, figures.Desert Fox wrote:WTF is CALI'd?

There were big, big issues this semester personally. That is really no excuse, because plenty of people probably work past these things, but 6 weeks before finals started, my family pretty much imploded and I was basically homeless. So. It was sort of difficult to outline. Obviously these aren't things employers care about-they just care about the numbers.

So you finished at median on the year then, or was it just a semester at median?SmittenMitten wrote:t2- went from deans list to about median.beach_terror wrote:School range and class rank?
