My property was 5 credits and we only covered 230 pages in our text. Contracts is 4 credits and we covered 850 pages. Conlaw was 3 credits and we covered about 400 pages. lolmissinglink wrote:Well, if everyone is due one bad grade, I'll gladly take it in Property. That turned out to be my least enjoyable class overall.
What's worse is that the workload in Conlaw was much more substantial than Property, but Conlaw (A) was only worth 3 credits, while Property (B), was worth 4 credits.

Indeed. The reading wasn't as bad as it sounds though. It was mostly just the professor.NarwhalPunter wrote:400 pages for con law??? You lucky bastard.

Amen, he was awful. That class terrifies me. Anywhere between an 82 and a 92 would be totally unsurprising.PirateCap'n wrote:Indeed. The reading wasn't as bad as it sounds though. It was mostly just the professor.NarwhalPunter wrote:400 pages for con law??? You lucky bastard.

Samsies, here's to dethroning those who shouldn't have got better grades than us first semester (and in the same vein, here's to making LAWL REVIEW)dibs wrote:QFMFT.beach_terror wrote:Hopefully this is because the people in the A-/B+ range (me) are stealing all of your As because we didn't make stupid exam mistakes this time around.Omerta wrote: Good luck with the rest of your grades. Bro, Jersey water is fresh. I'm in that same boat though, don't want to go down without a fight. But every other person I talked to seems to have not done the write on, so i figure i have a slim chance of some journal?
Sport & Entertainment Journal = Sports Agent = Ari Gold = Profit
This is correct, no?

A in crim. I seriously almost collapsed with relief--that was the one I was most worried about. Maybe, just maybe...I could get a job?
Yeah, I was last semester. We'll see how the rest shake out, although I'm a lot less stressed out now. I can't explain how strongly I suspected that I was going to spike a below median grade in that class. I'm going to go buy a new driver today--that's how happy I am.Kilpatrick wrote:Omerta wrote: Congrats!
I'm hoping to have similar collapses of relief this semester.
You're definitely getting a job, aren't you like top 5%?

Skipped Contracts class on the regular, only skimmed a lot of the reading, didn't know wtf was going on in class 90% of the time, and felt horrible after the exam.
Got an A.
Will never figure out how this law school grading thing works.

Last semester my grades fell into two categories. 1) Classes I studied hard for, and 2) classes I barely read, didn't do an outline for, and didn't take notes.Helmholtz wrote:Skipped Contracts class on the regular, only skimmed a lot of the reading, didn't know wtf was going on in class 90% of the time, and felt horrible after the exam.

Group 1 was two grade deviations below Group 2. I don't get it either.

And STILL waiting for grades. Nothing yet... It's stupid they don't release them until all professors turn them in.

Dear Legal Writing Professor,
I know that reading legal analysis blows donkey nuts. That's why I didn't read lots of the examples you gave us. But we turned our papers in about a month and a half ago. I have a hard time believing that someone getting paid $70,000+ a year for teaching two classes is so busy that he can't grade 50 odd papers in that period of time.
I want my shitty grade, and I want it now. I need to know if I have a shot at firms at OCI or if I should start planning my suicide.
Thank you,
The asshole who sits in the back

My LRW teacher is the worst on turning in grades. Our brief was submitted in mid-April, still no grade. Last semester, our final was turned in before Thanksgiving and it was the last grade we received (sometime in late January).
