I just don't like gunners, including biglaw gunners. But yeah, pretty much every non-biglaw legal job requires gunning, so that narrows the field a lot.

FWIW: The people who want fed gov and are gunning are either delusional or not doing it right. General gunning is useless for most fed gov (minus prefstigious DOJ and in-agency appellate work). Networking matters a lot more for Capitol Hill and (most) agency work. Targeted gunning in a specific class would only be beneficial if your prof is connected.

Those of us fortunate enough to have P/F legal writing: credited amount of time to spend on drafting appellate brief? 10 hrs.? The research is done, I just have to write it, and I have a week and a half. I have next to no interest in this thing and need to schedule a reasonable time limit for myself.

Seeing as how I pretty much did my memo first semester in 5-6 hrs from scratch, I say 5-6 hours.Nelson wrote:Those of us fortunate enough to have P/F legal writing: credited amount of time to spend on drafting appellate brief? 10 hrs.? I spent 3-4 hours going from outline to rough draft.Nelson wrote:Those of us fortunate enough to have P/F legal writing: credited amount of time to spend on drafting appellate brief? 10 hrs.?
