You should be able to watch it later on ESPN3...or DVR it (or have a friend with one do it for you)

Something I've found helpful with outlines is to try and make everything fit on one page for each section. So in Civ Pro, I try and make everything for Counter & Cross Claims or Defenses & Objections focused down to one page. It forces you to read and re-read and edit stuff down.

I was feeling more confident about contracts before today's class than I am now.Holly Golightly wrote:Every day I become more and more convinced that I have no idea what I'm doing.

I've been doing so much outlining in contracts that I see restatement sections spinning in front of my eyes like wheels on a old-school slot machine. I've finished my outline, and now I'm starting to condense so I have something workable for the exam.

you guys should take it easy, if you see that whenever you're trying to figure things out and your brain is headed in five directions, it's probably cause you know what's going on

These Barbri 1L review lectures are the shit. It's hilarious how I can spend hours upon hours, upon days, upon weeks, upon months trying to get this shit, and have Mr. Freer talk for three hours and have the light bulb come on. I struggled for a solid month trying to understand Supplemental Jurisdiction, Erie, and Mullane, and in the space of an hour and a half, I totally get it now.
Still waiting on my estates and future interests light bulb....

I don't get that. It's not like they don't know the story. Anyone who converses in the library for any reason in the obviously occupied studying areas should be taken out and shot.beach_terror wrote:At the library as well, place is 99% empty... but of course some tools are sitting near me and talking loud as fuck, and I don't feel like moving all my shit.blerg wrote:The library is so empty today. You'd think it'd light the competitive fire under me, but it's just depressing.

Earlier in the year the buzzing of my air conditioning turned in my contracts professor's voice. It even made coherent sentences when I was half asleep.mths wrote:Everytime I close my eyes I see UCC provisions.JCougar wrote:I've been doing so much outlining in contracts that I see restatement sections spinning in front of my eyes like wheels on a old-school slot machine. My dreams have consisted of elements of crimes under the MPC and common law. In the dream I can't answer a question about the difference between MPC and Common Law on random issues and freak out. This has happened for 2 nights straight, my Crim Law class is (I guarantee this) the worst class on the planet. Not because its hard, but because the professor basically said "read your book and tell me what you think" every single lecture. No one knows what the hell is going on.

Looking at that, I almost barfed all over the desk in my torts class. Luckily UCC § 2-207 is not part of what I have to deal with. Our professor is mostly about the restatement.BriaTharen wrote:I see this: http://www.docstoc.com/docs/18456404/UC ... -flowchartmths wrote:Everytime I close my eyes I see UCC provisions.JCougar wrote:I've been doing so much outlining in contracts that I see restatement sections spinning in front of my eyes like wheels on a old-school slot machine. Why the 2-207 love? We just skimmed over that today...fucking headache of a useless piece of shit provision that doesn't even resolve the problems in common law provision.

Re: 1L Exam Prep and Motivation Thread
I think my prof just loves ranting about it. He hates the thing. But fortunate thing is he asks a very similar battle of the forms question each year so you can prepare for it. But for the scenarios he sets up he wants common law, current UCC, and revised UCC response.mths wrote:Why the 2-207 love? He also spent forever and a day on consideration, while other sections did consideration in less than a week.
