I was behind and then he dumped like a 50 page reading assignment on us. It's what happens when you get sick. Conlaw is the first to go.PinkLotus wrote:Yikes, if that's not because you're behind in class, your prof is plain evil.stillwater wrote:Can't wait to read 80 pages of ConLaw today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: OFFICIAL 1L Exam Prep & Motivation Thread (CSWS)
I had a dream that I got an A, two "D"s and an "E". The Ds and E didn't factor into the GPA, but stood for something like "mediocre" and "Excellent", respectively. I was freaking out and wondering why we had a new grading system and whether firms would take those into account or just look at the GPA.

I imagine conlaw is going to be something like:
Some half-white-half-indian guy who was born in sweden walks into a privately owned bar which is in a government-owned hotel in a national park and orders a drink; the bartender initially refuses but then says he will sell it to him at double the price. Windian dude then calls him a crackerass motherfucker and sets fire to an American flag he happened to have in his pocket. Another patron yells "fire!" and everyone runs away, except the lawyers.

My appellate brief has made it really hard for me to find time to outline. At least its due in 12 days, so I need to finish it soon...

How sad is it that I passed this road sign and thought instantly about CSWS?

Taking the day off. ~70 hour weeks really catch up to me, but I feel guilty. Think one day will destroy me?
Up on readings. Ahead in most supplements. I'm writing out the E&E problems to really improve my legal analysis. Halfway through GTM. Re-doing LEEWS this week.

I am staying in tonight to catch up on the reading in ConLaw. Once caught up tonight, I will offend Chemerinsky tomorrow with my thorough ravaging of his pages.Nova wrote:Who else is staying in tonight to grind?

Thanks, bro. My plan:Nova wrote:Na. Let it all soak in, brother.LetsGoLAW wrote:Think one day will destroy me?
1) Finish outlining and E&Es/problems two-three weeks before finals.
2) GTM and LEEWS will be done, again.
3) Learn about the test from my professors at office hours.
4) 7-10 practice tests per class.
Early next semester to my haters:

HIT IT UP.

I really am a firm believer in working smart. If you don't take breaks, you'll self-destruct. Pulling all-nighters or doing other extreme things is totally unnecessary.Nova wrote:Na. Let it all soak in, brother.LetsGoLAW wrote:Think one day will destroy me?

Hate that this is me, but it is. Getting ahead in reading today, research for legal writing and supplements tomorrow. Not going to start outlining until later in the semester — I used outlines last semester to synthesize the material, and that seemed to work for me.Nova wrote:Who else is staying in tonight to grind?
