Taking the time to understand what the facts are telling you is going to save you the time of correcting or changing your answer when you realize you wrote about something that wasn't there.

Read the facts 2-3 times before I started writing, at least. I pretty much did it until I could basically recite the fact pattern in my head, and from then on it was pretty much off to the races.

barcelona embarrassed everyone they played last year...except when arsenal owned them and they were gifted the second leg with van persie's red card, but that's another story.

but united have won the premiership 4 of the last 5 years and been in the CL final 3 of the last 4 years, including one win. let's be real.

Whoa now, I'm going to disagree with this October malarky. Practice tests are precious, if you are lucky you will have four or five from your professors. Most professors I had only had one or two on file. Those things are by far the best tool to study, so don't squander them! Doing them in October is a massive waste. I took the pratice tests 2-3 days before the actual exam, once I knew everything and my outline was done. If you professor has a test bank of 15-20 tests, by all means, waste them. But don't go reading the single issue spotter they have published too soon!

While I am a 0L, in one of the Succeeding in 1L super posts, they mentioned taking some practice exams from other professors/schools in the beginning to get yourself used to the style of test. That way you have more practices exams total and so you've a better idea of what to expect when trying to learn your own professors exams. Is this sound advice or a crock?

0L here as well so take this with a grain of salt. But the only way i see taking other prof's exams is benefit is when their exams are proven similar to your prof. It wouldnt help if your test is policy oriented and the sample ones are not

LOL @ 0L suggesting law school exams might be "policy oriented." Ask your professor about exam format early on and seek a test of similar style (ie: 3 queston open-ended issue spotter); other than that, there isn't much you can do.
