Went to professor's house for a book discussion. Got buzzed. Didn't study. Solid night.

Skipped Civ Pro and spent the day actually learning some Civ Pro from Freer.
Wtf was I doing trying to learn from the casebook all semester?

QFT. Freer will sing CivPro to you like an angel. When you listen to him, it's like all these words you've heard all semester that seemed familiar actually make sense.reasonable troll wrote:Skipped Civ Pro and spent the day actually learning some Civ Pro from Freer.

BarBri.
If you're having trouble with CivPro, I highly recommend Acing CivPro.

Thanks. Not so much trouble I have the E&E and its pretty straightforward just looking for something to tie everything together. Still Acing? or go with the lectures? Also, one more question. If I sign up for BarBri can I change the state if I need to in a couple years?FeelTheHeat wrote:BarBri.

I would concur with this assessment. Though I think I'd tie Ks, Property, and Torts.crossarmant wrote:Indeed.drmguy wrote:Conlaw

Re: 1L Exam Prep and Motivation Thread
w/r/t Freer, I'm actually using his supplement rather than listening to the lectures. not as colorful as the E&E but that's what I like about it. gets to the point quicker, IMO. seems to be the minority opinion though - everyone I know LOVEESSZSZSZ E&E so take that fwiw. i've heard good things about Acing as well.
in other news, 2 weeks of class left and each day i have less desire to attend. 1st-semester me would beat the shit out of current me. lolexamz

Re: 1L Exam Prep and Motivation Thread
Same boat. I'm just having a hard time shaking myself into getting really proactive. I am going to try and get motivated tomorrow and spend the day at office hours/studying/outlining/doing Siegel's and Q&As for class, etc. But I'll probably lose focus, my mind will wander off, and I'll go home and look at cat pictures on reddit all day. This is completely out of step with other poasters, but it is how it has turned out for me.
Descending difficulty
1. ConLaw
2. Crim
3. Torts
4. Contracts
5. Civpro
6. Property
Of coarse, I'll probably want to amend this list when I recieve grades. It'll do for now, though.

for me it's (hardest to easiest):
1. contracts
2. con law
3. civ pro
4. crim law
5. torts
6. property
high variability among us...which isn't surprising.

It was good for personal/subject matter jurisdiction because it's the author of my casebook so the cases matched up perfectly, which is important for PJ...I found the Arthur Miller tapes excellent for that topic. I'll send what Gooch sent me too, its been damn useful.

Re: 1L Exam Prep and Motivation Thread
Just completed 7 hours of briefing. This nonsense will be out of my life soon enough. I would also like to sing the praises of Freer for Civ Pro. I haven't purchased Acing Civ Pro, but am considering it despite my collection of Glannon civ pro supplements. Tomorrow will entail summer job absurdity but I'm hoping to get a bit of time to study/slay the brief dragon.
