Anyway, a serious question.

I went to my professors and realized my mistake was getting ahead of myself. In each class, I noticed I misread the some facts. I suppose my nervousness translated into misreading some finer details. To rectify this, I am re-reading Getting to Maybe and writing out the E&E problems. Taking my time with ensuring my legal analysis is superb. Thoughts?

Other than that, applying law to fact, issue spotting, organization, typing speed, arguing both sides, coming to a "probable" conclusion, etc., are my strengths.

did you mini-O/L the exam OR read facts and splurge typing?
how many times did you read the fact pattern?

Yes. I used the LEEWS method. I read the fact pattern twice. It took a little longer. During the test, my discipline would diminish (out of fear for time) and I just continued typing.

Both. But like I said, my discipline trailed off. I guess my question is, what builds better discipline? I wrote about ~5 practice exams per class. I suppose more will definitely help.

I'm a LEEWSer, too. While the techniques are great for breaking down issue spotters into manageable components, Miller doesn't really cover strategies for policy ?s. What is a good policy supplement for Crim? (I will def. check out the policy chapter in GTM, as someone else here mentioned)

Dressler, hands down.

CB you mean? I think we're using Kadish, but I figure Dressler is going to be clutch for any of the CBs.

No, I meant the 2009 Dressler supplement from the "Understanding" series. My class was assigned the 2012 Kadish casebook.

Oh, my bad. I'm using the newest edition, whichever that one is.

ETA: looks like 2012, 6th edition. I got it for 18 bucks Kindle version.

what exactly did you do wrong with regard to missing facts - its impossible to say how to get better unless we know what you did did not do

just BEAST on the facts. I wrote in massive red font at the top of my torts attack outline: STAY CLOSE TO FACT. It helped me stay focused.
