e-mail from one professor today who said they'll be posted tomorrow and the delay was bc the registrar rejected his original grades bc they were slightly higher than the mandated curve

he took the opportunity to caution us that a lot of us will be disappointed bc everyone performed really well on the exam

....so now i'm just a great ball of nerves until tomorrow

Is this for Ks? It seemed like everyone studied like mad for Ks this year.

Haha, my contracts professor did the same thing. On time, of course, but nobody was happy with him.

I am honestly amazed at how well people did... I really don't have a good theory as to why that happened, other than that (a) the prof tended to be regarded as the "best" of the three that most people had, and (b) as a result, people studied much harder for that class.

It could easily just be that the 3Ls don't think of themselves as having been as gunnerish now that they have jobs and almost no work to do!

I think it usually comes the morning after grades go up. They probably only send one notification per day, and anything new that is up by that time gets included.

I think it usually comes the morning after grades go up. They probably only send one notification per day, and anything new that is up by that time gets included.

that's kind of a crappy system because then (due to my neuroses) i have to check lawnet over and over to see if a grade has been posted that i won't get an e-mail about until tomorrow. i know, obvious complaint is obvious.

No.

Definitely not. Although, to be fair, I was continually surprised that one of my professors even knew what email was, so it was no surprise that he didn't send a note.

One of my professors did not send an email before or after the exam. A simple "have a great life, thanks for the 10K you spent on this class." would have been nice.

One did, One didn't.

Nothing says "Here's your grade, please don't contact me ever again" like a professor quietly slipping in a grade, letting the Registrar notify you, and never saying another word about the exam.

Morrison gave us notification in advance and put up model answers (one by yours truly). It felt a lot more humane and it was almost like he wanted the exams to be a learning experience. All I know is I vastly prefer take-home exams now.

I didn't think Kraus's exam was that hard apart from some of the multiple choice... I felt like I had exactly what I needed in my four page outline... (maybe I just lucked out with what I decided to include)

I didn't really answer the second part to either of his essay questions and still did very well.
