Thanks! My prof recommends Glannon tho, so maybe I'll do E&E+Freer lecture.stillwater wrote:I never used the lecture, so I'll defer to IGF. BUT! I highly highly recommend his treatise. I pretty much read it leading up to finals and silently laughed to myself to see people paging through the casebook. I am more text-based, rather than auditory, so if you are like me pick up his book. I've heard great things about the lecture though.InGoodFaith wrote:Any good? I used the E&E as well since we had the Glannon casebook and it was pretty helpful.

I used the Freer CDs and Glannon's Multiple Choice book. Both were legit and I would recommend. A+ on the final, if that helps.
But mainly, practice tests. It's very mechanical so running through PTs helped me a ton

I thought Glannon was great, and it helped that my prof's lectures sounded a whole lot like chapters out of that book. I didn't use Freer but I know some people who swore by the lecture and ended up doing poorly on the final. Sounds like he does a great job summing up the course but you still gotta put in the legwork.

I solely relied on Glannon and it helped me tremendously. Never heard of the Freer

When you say Freer lectures, are you referring to the Barbri ones?

Re: OFFICIAL 1L Exam Prep & Motivation Thread (CSWS)
You pay a $50 deposit towards their bar prep and that will give you access to the site with the videos. If you decide to use BarBri for bar prep, you pay the rest later. If not, they will put the money towards a different bar prep service of your choice or I believe they will even refund it if you would prefer that. Not sure on that last point though.dingbat wrote:How much does it cost?InGoodFaith wrote:Yep.Unagi wrote:When you say Freer lectures, are you referring to the Barbri ones?

You can most likely get away with paying only $25 for Barbri.

I was talking about the Freer Understanding Civ Pro CDs... not the BarBri ones.

Freer book was amazing. Sole reason why I did well in CivPro.

This, right? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/031419 ... e=&seller=gaud wrote:I was talking about the Freer Understanding Civ Pro CDs... not the BarBri ones.
I wonder how different they are from the Barbri lectures...
If you don't mind, how many CDs are there and long does it take to hear them all?

Umm.. I believe there were 8 CDs. Not 100% on the total running time, but I'd say at most each CD was roughly an hour. It's not too in depth, but he hits every major area. It's basically like sitting through a civ pro class with a very enthusiastic professor
this was the other supp I used that I also found very helpful http://www.amazon.com/Glannon-Guide-Civ ... d_sxp_f_pt

From gaud's description, it sounds exactly like the BarBri vids, though they were six hours total.

I know we need to do FAFSA again for loans, but do we need to redo that Need Access bullshit?
