I think gunner's can easily be defeated, they clearly just seek the approval of their peers and/or professors. When someone starts acting like a gunner people just need to start coughing *douchebag* and other insults. Should get them to shut their dumb mouths and let the guy with a phd and top5 degree to explain the law.
HAHAHA.
Gunners can be defeated.
With Gunner Bingo.
I wonder who on TLS will be the Gunners...

Yeah, that was the dumb line uttered by that Harvard 1L in the gunner video on YouTube. He's a douchebag, and so is every other person who seriously suggests the above.
Yeah, not really Emmy. If you can't pick out the (inevitable) annoying and inappropriate behaviors going on in your class, chances are you're one of the people who doesn't find them inappropriate or anooying.

They are called, "gunners."
But simply because I don't find them inappropriate or annoying, does not mean that I actually do those things. So if I can't spot them, that doesn't mean that I'm a gunner too.

Hmmm, I think I suggested the same.......guess I'm destined for douchebaggery. :?
Sorry, I think I was exaggerating a bit. I just found that 1L's statement and the way he said it to be so off-putting.

Is this supposed to be another one of your one-liners that are genuinely funny? What a waste of whatever meager intellect you possess.

I think its a fair question too. Considering you took out your annoyance of Harvard 1L on Dougherty.
Sometimes people think the things you say are unnecessarily mean and I'm sure you disagree so that fits in with the statement

Being 'mean' and being a 'blowhard' are two different (though not mutually exclusive) properties...

so yes, if I had said "I find it hard to believe that people can be so oblivious about their mean-ness," then RATRATRAT might possibly (though probably not) have a fair question.

Otherwise, he's just another idiot looking to get a quick pot-shot at me. Desperate people tend to be like that.

That is true that blowhard and mean could mean different things. But I don't think I have a current definition of blowhard lol.

And I do notice that people try to insult you (sometimes randomly) but I think maybe its because they want to insult you before you do it to them...Although I could be wrong. I don't read a lot of threads.

Edited for clarity.

No one answered my question about who on TLS would be the gunners....
My guesses: Wendy (assuming 1-that she still lurks on TLS, and 2-that she is even going to law school) and Fourtier

Sjk, I believe I won the poll

Though I do think it was unjustified. I'm not really talkative IRL.

Is it possible for EmmyD to enter a discussion without acting like a complete jackass? Everytime she gets involved in a conversation she annoys the hell out of people. If she isn't a gunner I don't know who is.

No shit. I throw a sarcastic line out there from a movie and he calls me a douchebag.

I think Emmy can be mean at times and I think that's what annoys people. But I also don't think she is like that IRL, and I also think that based on the definition of gunner she wouldn't really fit the mold, despite winning the TLS poll.

I initially thought M20009 but I talked to someone who says he is totally not like his TLS persona...I'm starting to see him in a different light.

Senator: she.

Errr, last I recall, RATRATRAT took the first shot. I retracted my claim against Paul and Senator (even though they knew what I was saying, and knew I wasn't trying to insult them). But, alas, in your skewed sense of justice, god knows what is right over there!

At my school, the people who did the best (won the CALI awards, graded onto law review) were, almost without exception, not gunners. In fact they rarely volunteered in class, and when called on did not give particularly insightful or even correct answers. None of that shit matters, only that 3-4 hour exam at the end.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
