Re: MPRE 2015
I took PR in spring 2015 and got an A. Starting on Sunday, I reviewed the Kaplan outline and condensed it into my own notes, and watched the lecture. Going to review practice tests and review my notes until the test on Saturday.

Guys I also found another study aid:
Rigos:
http://www.rigos.net/content.asp?ID=126
You can sign up for a free course here:
http://www.rigos.net/freempre.asp
You will then be emailed the book. The good part about this program is that it divides the questions into different chapters. LIke one chapter talks about client confidentiality and another with client relations and fees. So it helps you recognize the questions. It helps after you've basically exhausted all the practice questions from Themis and Barbri.

Barmax's free mobile MPRE course (lectures and MC) is pretty swell.

Varies by state what you need to get. Also, 10 of the questions are experimental so it doesn't matter if you get them.summeisruined wrote:hI,
What score do I need to get this damn 85 ?
Make sure you're not overthinking the questions. Try not to be 'too ethical' if that makes sense.

I think it just needs to be a 'passport-like' photo. I just used a headshot I had. Didn't go to CVS or anything.doctoroflaw91 wrote: I'm sure you'll do great! I still need to get my passport photo taken tomorrow.

Notice about printing your passport photos: CVS and Rite Aid nation-wide are refusing online photo orders right now due to a data hack the other month that they somehow still haven't finished addressing. You'll have to either have to process your photos in-store (good luck if all their machines are broken like they are in my neck of the woods) or go somewhere else. Walgreens is currently unaffected.

I've been getting between 40-45 out of 60 right on the practice exams. Does anyone know what this roughly equates to when taking out the 10 experimental questions?

I'm between 35 and 40, probably borderline. Hopefully with a little more studying the next 2 days I'll pass.

Ah good to know! I was planning to go to CVS, but now I'll head over to the Walgreens tomorrow.ymmv wrote:Notice about printing your passport photos: CVS and Rite Aid nation-wide are refusing online photo orders right now due to a data hack the other month that they somehow still haven't finished addressing. I don't think I am going to study much. My class last semester was MPRE style.
My friend took PR in Spring of 2014 and took the MPRE that summer. Studied for about 2 hours before the test and pulled a 90-something. I'm sure you'll be fine.

Re: MPRE 2015
Taking tomorrow as well. Finding the Barbri questions to be fairly tricky and focusing on minute exceptions, and sometimes even exceptions to exceptions and the like. Thought the video lecture was solid, but hopefully the Barbri questions are harder than the real test. I've been getting about 35ish/60 so I hope that is good enough to pass. Personally, I tend to over think MC questions though.

Is anyone else finding the Barbri questions insanely tricky? Starting to feel like I'm missing something here...

I have too. Got 35/60 and 42/60 from the ones I did the past two days. Then did the 15 sample questions from MPRE, and it was infinitely easier.WolverineMachine wrote:Is anyone else finding the Barbri questions insanely tricky? Starting to feel like I'm missing something here...
I think BarBri is quite a bit more difficult, if that's any indication. Or at least I hope so.

Re: MPRE 2015
anyone else having problems with scoring consistently?
i get about 30% in Kaplan's test, 66% on Barbri's, and 80% on the MPRE website's sample questions...
i find with Barbri, it's more about strict adherence, the website questions are just about common sense, and Kaplan's are all over the place

Okay cool that makes me feel a little better. I got around a 35/60 (I need an 85 in my state) for the Barbri tests I did, but I also tried the practice MPRE questions, and although easier than Barbri, I did not think that they were "easy." I think I made a few stupid/careless mistakes on those though. Just felt the practice MPRE questions were a little clearer and didn't focus on nuances and exceptions as much as Barbri tended to.

Re: MPRE 2015
Hey question :
I need 85, what raw score should I aim? I just scored 35/60 on a kaplan test.
Also, which do you think has better questions : kaplan or barbri ?
Thanks and best of luck

Re: MPRE 2015
barmax outline seems pretty good.
75 % and 68 % on first two barbri exams. started yesterday. i watched the video at double speed and read the barmax outline once. tonight i'll probably read the outline one more time, do the last practice exam, and then cross my fingers. good luck!
