Before property:
Girls:
Guurrrrllll I drank a whole bottle of wine last night. I cant imagine being in law school and not being able to drink. I mean Im not really a "big drinker" but sometimes you just have to have a bottle
Gurl. I know.
Bro:
Bro, Idk how that test went. (saying that loud multiple times outside of the classroom).
Bro, I hope I atleast got a B-/C+ bro. That is all I need to pass

I left to use the bathroom in probably about 1/2 of my exams? It often helped to take a short break.sesto elemento wrote:Because they didn't raise their hand and asked to be excused!A. Nony Mouse wrote:Why would you not be allowed to go to the bathroom?
I was just dumbfounded that people would actually get up and go to the restroom during a law school exam. Some dude left 30 min before time was called. Others started surfing the web 10 min before time was called.

How do you know that's why?northwood wrote:saw that at my bar exam as well... there are also people who put their head down and take a nap ( the guy next to me did) because they finished early- and didn't want to leave and make it obvious that he knew absolutely nothing on the test ( why he didn't b.s. I don't know, they don't dock points for being wrong so just guess and go).helfer snooterbagon wrote:Mine are old, graduated 2010. We had one guy with super bad vision. Not blind, but apparently bad enough that he got extra time on exams. A lot. He would get 8 hours for a 3 hour exam. Apparently he didn't need all of it because people would frequently see him chilling out in the lounge and having a sandwich (not just rolls) during the exam.
Another dude got to take his exams at the end of the summer because his wife gave birth in late April.
At the bar exam, there were a handful of people who showed up for morning session of day 1 and were never seen again after!

Yeah, I nearly took a nap in the second half of the MBE myself. So damn BORING. And I finished early because I read fast, but we weren't allowed to leave early.

Yeah pretty sure being amazed that other people take 2-5 minutes to pee and stretch during an exam outs you as being a gunner. Jesus.
Also clicked expecting good "overheard at finals" stories, instead read two pages of how people feel about the recent finals. Disappointed. Except that story about the hard-boiled egg guy, that was pretty good.

This thread is filled with terrible stories. And it filled with the sort of people who should probably be quoted in a thread like this.

Re: OVERHEARD AT FINALS
I definitely left for a few minutes during each of my in class spotters. Bathroom/water for one, grabbed some bagels during the other. My brain just will not work for 4 consecutive hours without a quick break somewhere.
I was def surprised to see a couple dudes finish 30 minutes early tho. I mean, a quick 5? Sure. But 1/8 of the allotted time? Wtf?

Re: OVERHEARD AT FINALS
At UVA we take exams per the honor code, so you don't need to ask for permission to go to the bathroom. In fact, most people Take I've seen go to the bathroom their exams into thr bathroom to read. Saw one person take their exam and laptop. I can only assume Montezuma's revenge was fast approaching. Only place you can't take an exam is the library.pancakes3 wrote:My torts exam had a "1 hr reading only, 3 hrs writing" rule so I got up and peed in the last couple minutes of the reading/outlining portion. Re: OVERHEARD AT FINALS
I went to the bathroom twice during a 3 hour exam. Less because I had to go, more because its a nice mental break.
Hell I took 3 breaks in contracts, one of em was literally just a walk around the hallway.
I'd die if I couldn't take a break, I think.
