Generally speaking, when Reddit does come to the attention of the non-redditing public, it is not in a good light. (Child porn, Boston bombing, etc.) Further, even where the employer is familiar with Reddit beyond the controversies, putting Reddit on your resume is like putting Facebook, Twitter, or Wikipedia on your resume. Unless the person interviewing you is a serious redditor themselves, they're going to see this and think "So you like wasting time on Reddit? Great! That's exactly what we're looking for in an associate."

Putting "pub trivia" as an interest? Yes or no? Is it bad cuz alcohol? "Pub" sounds much better to me than "bar" and I am on a quite good, competitive team so it is an interest but if it has too much of a negative connotation I won't put it.

Just put trivia. A lot of hiring partners probably fondly remember Trivia Pursuit and regardless I think "trivia" is a good one.
