If you ask a professor, "Would you rather publish in YLJ or CLR?" the answer is almost always going to be YLJ, CLR's better combined score ranking notwithstanding.
I'm going to disagree with the first statement but most likely agree with the second statement. YLJ and CLR have such small differences in their journal ranking that I think profs would prob pick YLJ just because its Yale, not because its YLJ. However, given a choice between, say NYU LR/U Chicago LR vs. Georgetown LJ/UCLA LR, I bet they'd pick the latter.
