I don't know why they'd give F's then. My point is that if you assume most professors want to help their students they would favor paraeto efficient outcomes (no F's and only B-'s if it is all a 2.7, and no A's and only A plusses if it's all a 4.0). At my school one could far and away set the curve, but not get an A plus because it "doesn't feel A plus worthy." This is fair but if there's no cali you don't really gain anything by setting the curve, which kind of makes studying beyond a point useless.
