i just know this from reading around. i dont know if hes actually a dick or mean but i know they work. a lot.

Yeah, the stories are like legends.

Apparently he calls the office at 6:30 am to make sure that his clerks are at the office and he also calls each clerks desk at 8:30pm to make sure you are still working then.

At least the clerks know what they're getting into. His OSCAR profile even says something to the affect that he expects his clerks to work crazy hours.

I had a prof who clerked for Kozinski. He had the same stories. He said when he went to his (classic biglaw 80-hour-weeks) firm, he was the only person for whom the hours were a break.
