Went from top 5% to top 15% in my last two grades. Checking in.

*still happy about my overall rank, I know top 15% is a decent spot to be... but I'm still kinda pissed at the big drop

i thought this was the thread where people got median pwned second semester like OP did?

dropping 10% should definitely qualify for a shoulder to gently weep upon.

He went from top 5% to top 15%. I don't know what kind of math you learned in highschool but that's not medianpwned.

I'm kind of in the same position with a slightly smaller drop. I'm happy with my overrall rank, but scared about how my drop second semester will look to employers and nervous about how many B+s I've accumulated.

They probably won't care. Overall GPA is what matters.

Also, despite mediocre and less than mediocre grades in property, torts, and contracts, no one at OCI batted an eye when I said I was interested in business and commercial litigation (best grades were con law, crim, civ pro).

Dropped from top 1/3 to (what probably is) right at or right below median, losing my scholarship in the process.

T30, and I have a summer associateship - but its a small firm, 6 lawyers.

Getting pwned by 2nd semester is painful nonetheless.

Might be TCR, though solid work w firm 1L summer is great, especially of there is possibility of post-grad employment.

I'll stick it out - My parents live in my target market, so if I don't get a GOOD job, I can take a mediocre job and live at home til I get off my feet. Would suck, yes. But it could be worse.

How is everyone feeling about driving T14 median-middle third scores to job fairs? Oftentimes, job fairs are conducted in cities with nearby Tier 1-2 schools. At best you will be competing against Tier 1-2 students with scores much higher than median. Depending on location, the drive itself could take several hours. Thoughts?

I don't know if I'm fucked or if I dodged a bullet.

Went from top 12% to top 33% at a T50. But I ED transferred from my T50 to a T14 before my grades dropped. My GPA doesn't exist anymore.

Don't firms still look at your old school GPA during OCI at your new school?
