What is the content of your Commercial Transactions class? Is it Commercial Paper and Secured Transactions? (That's how it is at Mich... and it's really freakin' impossible and I think I failed a quiz we had).
Its basically UCC and CISG covering battle of the forms, leases, security interests (not a large chunk of this), conflicts of law in international trades, etc.

Outside of battle of the forms which I understand fairly well, I know nothing, have not paid attention, have not read in 2 weeks, and now am starting to think I actually need to get working on this class.
Yeah, yours is totally different than ours. Sorry, can't help.

My Commercial Transactions class is divided into thirds: Sales (UCC Article 2), Payment systems (articles 3 and 4 or some shit) and secured transactions (Art 9 maybe). The prof does a decent job explaining it (as good as this garbage can be explained at all) so I don't need a supplement to lay out the law, but since the exam is 75% MC, I'd like to do a few questions for practice (in a couple months of course). Has anyone tried the Q&A or ExamPro supplements for Secured Transactions and Payment Systems? Or for any other class for that matter?

Wildly unmotivated 3L here.

I wonder if ambition returns once we graduate? I'm a bit concerned about that.

Motivation before offer: 2/10
Motivation after offer: -27/10
Motivation after realizing bad grades could result in being no-offered: 2/10

I feel that I'm always more motivated in an environment where my work impacts others. School is entirely about the GPA that ends up on my resume so I have trouble giving a shit.

I ended up watching 2 episodes of the west wing tonight instead of reading for PR.

Bleh.
Midterm tomorrow (ungraded, thankfully) I haven't studied for. Moot court brief due in a week that I haven't started. Haven't read in Crim Pro in weeks. Law Review note topic sucks. Sit in class all day sending emails, kickin' it on Facebook, and talkin' to you n00bs on TLS.

Don't care.

Pass me another beer. 8)

Ah man, things are not going as well as they could be. I would say for a solid 3 weeks I was just totally useless. I cancelled some activities because I was really busy, but then instead of doing the things I needed to do I just sat around and played Gears.

Now I'm starting to get back on the horse. I know I need to go back and take notes for some classes I missed, but I really don't feel that guilty. Certainly not guilty enough to miss the midnight release of Arkham City Monday night.

Also - PR blows. 8:50 PR is absolutely brutal. I can't even explain to you how hard it is to sit there and live my life. Time to wrap this post up and pay attention in class.

PR?

Also, assuming "Gears" and "Arkham City" are video games, you probably play too many video games.

Not knowing what Gears is = sad state of affairs.

I assume PR = Professional Responsibility. We have a local judge teach it at 8 a.m.. Not looking forward to it.

Anybody else kindof getting re-motivated? ~10 weeks to finals. Time to hit the study aids to avoid totally falling off the cliff?

The underlined applies to me, and, in addition, it is becoming more difficult to give a poop about finding work. I seriously need like, Eye of the Tiger blaring 24/7 just to manage a motivational baseline these days.

10 weeks until you start finals? Mine will be all over in 9 weeks. And yeah, I've got a 45 minute oral presentation and a 25 page paper I need to get going on so I actually have some time to prep before finals start in 7 weeks. Of course, what I should do and what I've actually motivated myself to do, are two different things.

It is completely beyond your comprehension how hard it is to get a good job in this economy with shitty or even average grades.
