Re: Hating Law School, how can I deal with it????
How can ya'll stand whiskey? To me, it hurts to drink and tastes terrible. It almost seems like people feel like they are socially required to get past the toxicity of the drink for some reason (to look cool?).
I personally like stuff that tastes good while getting me buzzed. I'm not to classy though. PBR and Crystal Light/Popov are my drinks of choice. And yes, I drank every night during law school. 4 beers or 4 shots depending on what I had in the cupboard. I think this helped my experience. It helped me pass out at night without my mind swirrling about hypos and statutes. Also, I do love law school.

For all you highland 12 year fans... Dalmore. Glenfiddich is TCR if you are at a crappy bar with only the biggest distributors, but if your bar has a decent scotch collection and you want a 12 year, Dalmore is the winner without question.

Skol Vodka. If it doesn't come in a plastic bottle, you're paying too much

Highlands are ok but get more for your money:geoduck wrote:For all you highland 12 year fans... Dalmore. Glenfiddich is TCR if you are at a crappy bar with only the biggest distributors, but if your bar has a decent scotch collection and you want a 12 year, Dalmore is the winner without question.
Bowmore, Bruichladdich, Laphroaig, Caol Ila, Ardbeg (very strong peaty flavour)
Any Islay whisky is a great choice.
Talisker is good too.

This thread has taken such a great turn.
Glenmorangie Sonnalta PX
Macallan 12 & 18
Highland Park 12
If you are looking for a reasonably priced 12, Highland Park is great and is consistently highly rated.

Glenmorangie Sonnalta PX
I get lost these days with Glenmorangie's multitude of cask finished whiskies!
By itself, I find Morangie to be too sweet and vanilla, pretty basic stuff.

Agreed. Glenmoraingie's usual shit is not good at all. And yeah, the last phase is aging in Pedro's casks.Skyhook wrote:Is that aged in a PX cask?bjsesq wrote:This thread has taken such a great turn.

Take easy BLL classes. Don't go to class. Prep for three days before each final, earn some gentleman's B's. It sounds like you already have a job, why not.

Drink. That's the solution. I'm amazed the DUI laws are so strict with so many lushes filling the courtrooms.
