lol, my school is a decent regional T2, not quite cooley.

Any chance you can PM me your school just so I get an idea of what type of employment opportunities you're looking at with below median?

I agree with all the other posters- if you don't like it, drop out. If you stick it out for two more years, graduate, pass the bar, get a job, and still aren't interested in the practice of law, you will be fundamentally unhappy. Being fundamentally unhappy is far worse than having a liberal arts degree and being unsure of what to do next. You're still young, and it's still relatively easy to make major life decisions.

That being said, you should ask yourself whether you actually don't like law school, or whether your ego is just bruised from performing below your expectations. If it's the latter, and you are actually interested in law, then keep working at it- there's still time to improve.

$150k in debt is not manageable. You need to drop out unless you want to spend the rest of your life in servitude to those loans.

take the gmats and go get a masters of accounting degree. Accountants are actually in demand. You wouldnt make 160k but you will get a solid 40-50k. 1 year of schoola t most MACC programs cost about 40-50k.

Not as "prestigous" as law but it will pay the bills.

unless he lives in NYC, where hypercompetition requires that he have some other factors such as an accounting internship, extracurricular, some parts of the CPA passed, etc

Well, seems like the consensus is to drop it. Still, i feel finishing 1L is the best way to go at this point.

Thanks, it's a bit awkward knowing I won't be back next year but I just have come to hate the law environment so much that remaining in school is not worth it.
