Reviving this gem because it's grade season, and I'm really curious about how OP did against his idiot classmates

Be careful with this kind of thinking. It sort of sounds like the kind of thinking that got you into this position:jdubb990 wrote:I'd like to transfer to a top 100 school, I don't even care where it falls in the spectrum. I just don't want to be at my current school.
If you're going to transfer up, make sure you thoroughly think through your choice(s). Aim for the best school you can get in to (and by "best," I mean that perfect equation of ranking, financial burden, and job opportunity).jdubb990 wrote:It seemed like it was on the right track, on an upswing, even though it was lower tier.

Nice job. Assuming a harsh curve, you did really well. Update us on transferring goals. Still wanting to? Hating school less?jdubb990 wrote:2 A's, A-, B+, B

Thanks very much, I busted my ass to get those. My school itself is not what bothers me; its my section-mates. There is one particular girl who basicly speaks in eubonics when she is on call. I really don't care when people speak in slang in their personal lives, but in a law school...not cool. But I realized I just had to quit worrying about everybody else and worry about myself. Transferring is definitely still in the cards, not sure yet though, we'll see.

If it gives you a sense of hope, there are 4 or 5 John Marshall refugees at Emory. I think John Marshall was actually the most represented 1L origin school amongst the transfers, followed by Mercer and Florida Coastal.

Average GPA is equivalent to a C+ at my school.

It's OP's slang for ebonics.Bildungsroman wrote:eubonics?

Lol at wanting "a school anywhere in the top 100" so you can have intelligent classmates..... Top 100 means nothing. Chapman has the same quality students as, say, Gonzaga, Southwestern, or U. of San Fran, etc.
