A more probable theory is that this is actually TTT using a separate account, given how he replied so quickly to the OP. This wouldn't be the first gimmicky post he's made either. The OP is pretty inconsistent with my postings, so any suggestion that it might be the same person as me is pretty unrealistic.
Yes, TTT made a thread about a bad grade in Contracts. A guy that took Ks years ago, and likely performed very well. He went through all this trouble just to mess with you.

And, for the OP: You performed poorly in comparison with the other students in your Ks class. Believe me, professors are not going through exams trying to find out who studied from supplements, and who read the casebook. Hopefully you did better on your other exams, but it's pretty unlikely. Most of your classmates studied really hard and took a tactical approach from the beginning, just like you. The sad reality is that some people have "it", and others don't.

Why don't you post a sample of your exam and then people can critique it and let you know what went wrong? True, people would probably be able to out which school/class you are in, but since you only have 5 posts no one would ever trace your real identity.

I doubt he has access to the exam right now, and if he did I'm willing to bet that violates some sort of rule. In any event, still a retarded idea. If you want advice on where you went wrong, go see the professor.

The professor isn't going to penalize you for using supplements, if he can even tell. The material is the material. Where I see the supplement use being relevant is if your professor had a specific take on the class that was different from how things were laid out in the supplements. Eg: my Civ Pro professor had a very specific approach to jurisdiction which was not entirely consistent with Glannon. In such circumstances, you always use your professor's take, not the supplements'. This should be obvious.

I think this is crap. The first grade I got back last year was NOT good. I cried. Thought I'd failed law school. Was CERTAIN every grade would be the same.

In reality, every other grade came back above median or well above median.

Is it likely that some people just "get it" more quickly than others? Sure. It's also possible that some people just don't get it. But there will certainly be people who have more narrow strengths and weaknesses. Consider, for example, an exam where there is only one fact pattern v. an exam where there are several fact patterns, or where there are short answer questions or multiple choice, or an exam that is more policy oriented than issue-spotter. Obviously the OP has to improve on whatever type of exam this was, but I'm not sentencing him to bottom 25% just yet.

Although I agree that unless this is like Rayiner's situation above, it is unlikely your prof saw your exam and said "Aha! used a supplement did we? B-"

Then OP should post one of his practice exam answers. I'm sure the approach he took is very similar to the actual exam.

if the professor won't talk about your exam with you, perhaps you can chat with some people in your class (close friends, study buddies?) and see what they wrote. you could get an idea of where you went wrong.

TC supposedly took his/her exam in a manner that he believes the professor disapproved and then comes on here to whine that his grade sucks.

Fair enough, perhaps 'pretty unlikely' was too strong of a phrase. OP could certainly just have had a bad day/Ks wasn't his subject/not his best test format (and I hope that's the case). That probably came off as insensitive during a very stressful time in OP's life, and was not my intent.

The comment was directed at the fact that OP thought a poor grade had to be the result of unfair grading because OP is a smart person, worked hard all semester, and knew the material well. Unfortunately, everyone else is also very smart and also busting their ass, and some people will have to receive 'poor' grades in comparison to their peers.

Actually I posted here to get some advice, and I appreciate the advice that many had given me. If you'd read my post carefully, you'd see that I conceived that I could have just written a bad exam, yet I also thought that there is a possibility of a certain reaction by the prof to a particular answering style that I employed. Given all the well reasoned feedback I received, my opinion has changed, and it appears to me that such possibility is in fact very very remote.
You, my friend, came here and smuggly shook your testicles while distorting what I said. I hope that your ego leaped a little from the instant gratification you got when you made your post. Mine is leaping right about now, douche.

Haha. But OP, I don't think that your initial suspicions are as unfounded as everyone seems to claim. I also have one very old school professor that would absolutely slaughter any student that employed a LEEWS answering method w/ labels and paragraph after paragraph stuff. I researched a very hard to find old exam model answer and it was completely filled with pompous sounding, academic fluff in a thesis first research paper UG format. That is how I wrote my exam. Another class was completely retarded and demanded very little in the way of analysis and basically asked for short answers. I did what the professor wanted and added commentary very conservatively while trying to do just enough not to piss him/her off. My other two exams (gigantic issue spotters) worked very well with LEEWS so I used the labeling and paragraphs strategy.

My point is that I know for a fact that the two oddball professors would have put me below median no matter how good my answers were if I used the LEEWS format. I don't think you are weird for thinking that that might have happened.

Is this a wind-up?

Heck, someone has to finish last. And I'm sure they aren't thrilled about it.
