Yeah, same. And its a class where the professor seems to want a really deep analysis, so I'm a bit confused/worried.InGoodFaith wrote:No problem gaud.
Ugh, one of my professors mentioned a word limit last week and I was like "noooooo!" My whole strategy last semester was to just throw every single thing I had at the wall.

Does anyone have a con law outline (chemerinsky based)? I have a midterm next week and would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks! The con law outline is pretty different, but the property outline is right on point.Jsa725 wrote:These O/L's are good, diff book doe.Robert Paulson wrote:Does anyone have a con law outline (chemerinsky based)? I have a midterm next week and would greatly appreciate it.

Well, yeah. I suppose for the policy concerns that works. I think, at least for how ours was graded, you'd have been limited to some pre-written sentences here or there, but certainly not paragraphs (like, say, Civ Pro). We also had a word limit that you could easily hit within the time allowed, which is a format inherently unfriendly to pre-written responses. An argument could be made for pre-writing to get your stuff edited/trimmed down as much as possible, I suppose. I didn't try. Still got the A+dingbat wrote:A guy in my crim class had pre-written answers that were apparently on all fours with the exam - scored an A+zworykin wrote:Pre-written answers. Grumble grumble... I had two closed/closed exams, and the one that was open book/open notes was Crim, which doesn't lend itself to pre-written answers in the slightest. Anything I wanted to pre-write, I still had to memorize anyway.

How screwed am I that in a year-long Civ Pro course, I have not yet started outlining? Was planning to take care of the the first semester over winter break, but ended up playing a lot of Xbox instead. Lazy ass me!

dunno. probably fine. outlines are pretty useful as a way to inculcate the material into your domepiece. i made outlines for some classes and used 2L/3L outlines for others with similar results. If it gets too late, you'll have to employ the latter method.PinkLotus wrote:How screwed am I that in a year-long Civ Pro course, I have not yet started outlining? Was Freer's Civ Pro lecture any good?

I never used the lecture, so I'll defer to IGF. BUT! I highly highly recommend his treatise. I pretty much read it leading up to finals and silently laughed to myself to see people paging through the casebook. I am more text-based, rather than auditory, so if you are like me pick up his book. I've heard great things about the lecture though.InGoodFaith wrote:Any good?
