99% sure LRW will be an A (we got all our memo grades back with grade ranges), and I felt good about Crim as well. Pardon me while I drink myself silly.

still waiting on one more grade. Can make the difference of top 5% or top 40% (depending on what I get) . . . . . . . . .

Same here. And it's worse because I genuinely have no idea how I did, and getting a B- now that I see how close I am to law review would be so much more devastating than if I'd just gotten all my grades at once and never thought I had a shot.SAOJD10 wrote:still waiting on one more grade. Anyone who's disappointed in their grades: take a small amount of solace in knowing they're not as bad as mine.

One class kept me from LR grades for this semester, if I had got it at the very end I probably would have freaked the fuck out. Getting them all at once is the way to go.berkeleykel06 wrote:Same here. Re: 1L grade waiting thread
For stress levels, I would have waaaay preferred to get all grades at once. While I don't think my swing is as big as 5% to 40%, the grades i'm most likely to get for the last grade I'm waiting on would put me in either top 25%, 15%, or above 10%. I just want to know and move on with life and this point.beach_terror wrote:One class kept me from LR grades for this semester, if I had got it at the very end I probably would have freaked the fuck out. How about if the choice was between receiving grades as they became available in late December and early January, and receiving them all at the same time in early February?Richie Tenenbaum wrote:For stress levels, I would have waaaay preferred to get all grades at once. I just got mine last week, and while the wait was very long, I'd still prefer to get them all at once in early February. I could have held out for another week or two.quakeroats wrote: How about if the choice was between receiving grades as they became available in late December and early January, and receiving them all at the same time in early February?

Re: 1L grade waiting thread
I mean, I'm actually grateful for how grade releases panned out this year. I got my best grade like a week after finals was done, was able to apply everywhere with that grade in hand, and got two interviews set up based on those applications. So in terms of practicality, I can see the advantage of releasing grades as they come.quakeroats wrote: How about if the choice was between receiving grades as they became available in late December and early January, and receiving them all at the same time in early February?
For lowest stress level- maybe have all the grades released simultaneously in early January? That's pretty greedy though. One of the other sections had zero grades a week ago and got them all on, I think, Wednesday. Maybe that would be best? I really don't know though.

That is pretty ridiculous, sorry to hear it. Seems like a lot of professors are just so damn lazy and couldn't care less.dudders wrote:despite announcements that grades would be out on Friday, we only got 2/5. we are angry.

Ya for the swing from top 5% to 40% is me obsessively imputing every possible grade I think I got and seeing how it affects my GPA (from an A to a D+) . . . . that is not normal person activity

Re: 1L grade waiting thread
I calculated my possible final GPA for B,B+,A-,and A in the one remaining class I don't know. My girlfriend thought it was a bit obsessive. I don't know the exact % b/c there is no official ranking here though. I just want to know so I can start focusing on this current semester.SAOJD10 wrote:Ya for the swing from top 5% to 40% is me obsessively imputing every possible grade I think I got and seeing how it affects my GPA (from an A to a D+) . . . . that is not normal person activity

I did that too before I got my last grade. Trust me, you are not alone.SAOJD10 wrote:Ya for the swing from top 5% to 40% is me obsessively imputing every possible grade I think I got and seeing how it affects my GPA (from an A to a D+) . . . . that is not normal person activity
BTW, we don't have grade-on LR here. You have to do the writing competition no matter what, although 25% of your "score" is your grades.

What I meant was that I calculated my final GPA with hypo grades of B, B+, A-, and A for the last class I still don't know.beach_terror wrote:Those grades look very familiarRichie Tenenbaum wrote:

Yeah i think small sections are supposed to be out at CLS. isn't the rule 6 weeks for normal-sized sessions and 4 weeks for small sessions? Whatever, I want my grades.swc65 wrote:CG614 wrote:Grades would be cool.
