I just got my third grade, but still nothing from Lawyering (which seems weird to me, but, meh).

Bleh, only have two grades. Did you see that message at the top of the screen about checking back for grade re-calculations tomorrow?

The one I quoted above, or do you have a different message? (No snark intended -- if there is more than one message here I'm curious to know)

A- in K's (and my prof only gave out 2 A's and curved the class shockingly low). So yeah, this will likely put me somewhere between the top 3-5% of the class .

Um...I just got my other grade back to. These interviews are for naught if I don't get a freaking A+ in civil procedure.

I think I am already semi-out to my classmates at NYU, so no revealing what the actual grades were. Still, more than satisfied. Now, Contracts, don't go screwing this up.

Gotcha. I'm curious (and terrified) to see if this message will translate into actual grade changes for anyone. Would it have something to do with the prof's discretionary grading power?

Must be something like that. I only have the message that my grades are final (but I'm still missing my Contracts grade, too).

I finally got my rank today. I am 7th of 173, which puts me in the top 4 to 5% of the class. I am very thrilled.

NYU folks - I had that message too after my 2nd grade was released (I have all 3 now) and it went away in a few hours and nothing changed. On a related/slightly nitpicky note, does anyone know if an A- is a 3.67 or a 3.7 when calculating GPA (same question for B+ being 3.3 or 3.33)? And also what the median GPA is? Thanks.

A- is 3.67. Median should be somewhere very close to a 3.33, or a B+. It will vary marginally from year to year depending on whether professors are more or less generous with their discretionary grades.

We finished December 16th and won't receive any until at least the 28th and may not receive them until February 2nd.

Last final was December 16. Grades are due at Duke on Jan 25th, then have to be analyzed by the registrar. We'll get them, at the latest, on February 1st. Classes started back on the 5th.

Don't know. Sucks that we have that memo due on Thursday, too. The beginning of this semester's going to suck, but at least the appellate brief will be done in early March.
