How many words per hour are you guys punching out on, say, an issue-spotter torts exam?

Yeah mine is on tuesday. I'm just meandering through my outline and study aid. Going to do a PE in a little bit.

I've adjusted to having to leaving a minimum of 45 minutes early, though, because my area has some braindead city planners (BRB, city of 125,000 and only two lanes, and morning traffic is awful). This isn't a big deal when even my earliest class is at 9:00 Am and there's little risk of getting cold-called, but when ALL of my finals are at 8:15 AM, jimmies become rustled.

So, what should I do? It seems my options are:

(A) Get up at 5:00 Am to make sure I can get there on time (traffic is anyone's guess, and I can't be late, obviously); or
(B) Sleep in the damn law library; or
(C) Get a room in a nearby hotel, cutting down my drive to a near-certain 5-10 minutes.
HOTEL. your entire life depends on 1L grades. sleep is hugely important for proper brain function and maximum effectiveness. CSWS.
Haha, no pressure. But thanks bro, that seemed like the smartest option so that's what I'm going to do.

So what do you guys say for breach?

A has a duty to act as a RP of OP towards C because C is in the row below him.

A breached his duty when he went to grab B and instead fell over and landed on C (should I insert injury caused)

Is this how you guys set up your breach analysis? For some reason I am finding it awkward to say what the breach is or to know what to put for the breach.

Thanks bruhs. Keep crushing it.

yes, this is what i do. (each item is under a new subsection)
Duty: general standard duty of care and specific duty
Breach: ∆ breached his duty when ___________. (usually a one liner)
Thanks bro. I needed the reassurance, especially at this time of year.

My Torts prof is freaking crazy. She said we are going to get a 9 page long, single-spaced (I swear it is 11 point font), fact pattern, and 15 multiple choice questions (only God knows what she is going to come up with), and a policy question. HOLY HELL.

Does anyone have any torts exams with model answers that they would be willing to share? I have some links to exams, so I could hook you up as well.

Just out of curiosity I did a quick thing online to measure my typing speed (I don't wanna study any more for my final tomorrow and its obviously too early to go to bed, so I'm just trying to kill time for 3-4 hours until I can go to bed haha) and got 87 wpm. Surprised myself with that tbh, given that I type mostly with my index fingers.

Good PT. Typed lots of words. I stupidly left some easy points on the table though. Missed a statutory issue that was pretty simple, where the statute was designed to prevent a different kind of harm then the one inflicted so it's only evidence of a general negligence, not per se negligence resulting harm.

I even had it circled in the fact pattern.

I've done that a few times (only once with a 'major' issue, luckily...) on practice exams so far. Its the worst.

I mean, luckily it wasn't a major issue or an analysis point, but it suuucckkkks leaving easy points on the table, especially when you already did the work of spotting it.

Plus I had a good five minutes where I could have looked over the fact pattern one more time before my alarm went off. Oh well, exam day I'll check and double check until they tell me time's up.

Yeah, exactly. I'm gonna be really mad if I lose some easy points on my actual exams on issues I had recognized but forgot to address.

Alright on the eve of my torts exam, wanted to see if others were noticing the same thing... I dont use any cases (maybe a couple) when I am doing my torts practice tests. Is anyone else noticing the same thing?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
