I have one last final on Monday. that is Pass/Fail/D. I should be studying buy want to be not studying. but am also scared of the D. fucking pollution control.

I hate you all who are already done with the semester. I haven't even started taking exams yet. In fact, my exams are on the last 2 days of the exam period. I'll be done a week from today. Yep, lets prolong the torture.

Oh the wonders of transferring: being forced to take required 1L courses at your new school. I have to take a legislation exam on Monday with a bunch of 1Ls. It was painful enough having to sit through classes again with a bunch of 1L gunners who don't know what they're talking about. But now I have to take this exam, and they all try so hard that the curve is going to suck ass.

Luckily legislation is a bullshit class, but there's no reason I should have to take it anyway. We basically spent an entire semester learning about methods of statutory interpretation. I mean seriously, how the fuck could I have done well enough during 1L to transfer without knowing this shit? And even if that was possible, there's no way someone could make it through 2L without knowing it.

Also: why the fuck don't 1Ls know how to take notes? I didn't start studying until today, so today I bought the only available outline for the class on outline depot. It turns out that some idiot basically transcribed the entire class. It took me about 3 hours to cut it down to a whopping 8 pages of material that we actually need to know for the exam.

. I don't plan to even check my grades for this semester like ever, so yeah that sucked.

Just be careful with your line of thinking for that class or you'll get fucked BECAUSE of the 1L curve. My school also has a mandatory Legislation class on the 1L curve, and I knew I had to go way above and beyond to do well in the class because is was so damn easy and pointless. Is your exam open book/open note? If so, I HIGHLY recommend pre-writing exam answers if you're aware of the general format of your professor's exams. That is what saved me. I busted my ass and got my 'A,' but a lot of people in my class were extremely disappointed. Yes, the class is dumb but your entire class thinks it's easy, too. Just some friendly FYI.

down here in ft walton beach/destin area as it was the shortest drive. me and rads live in nashville. Today was gorgeous - laid out on the beach in the morning and went golfing in the afternoon

Closed book final tomorrow. Have barely studied all day. Another closed book final tuesday, and I literally have no idea what is going on in the class - except for the outline I made. But, I'll somehow need to memorize that 20 page outline, and then hopefully give decent analysis. Sigh - i see my gpa plummeting as we speak. But the weather is just too nice for finals.

Why do the NHL playoffs have to be so awesome while I'm sort of trying to study for finals? Actually tried hard this semester for the most part, but started burning out toward the end. I just want it to be respectable enough that it doesn't raise any stink when determining if I get an offer at the end of the summer.

Stayed up till 4am writing a paper last night...then took from 4am-5am for me to realize that I completely misunderstood the cases I was reading and that 90% of the pages I just spent 10 hours writing were incorrect. No motivation to redo them.
