First grade back: B in property. Kill self now or later? That exam was so meh, it could have gone either way. I need to ace crim and break even on ks.

Re: 1L grade waiting thread
I wouldn't worry about it quite yet. I got a disappointment on my first exam like that, and my next two grades were good enough to cancel it out.chicoalto0649 wrote:First grade back: B in property. Re: 1L grade waiting thread
Yesterday one of my profs emailed us a long email discussing the distribution (75% some form of B's, 25% some form of A's) and said "the registrar will soon be releasing your Civ Pro grades."
My entire day became refreshing the grades page...and it never posted. Neurosis ftw!

Ouch. Happens every year though. Happened to me. If you want to rebound next semester, I'd suggest less "studying" together and more reviewing practice problem answers about 1.5 months before exams begin. You'll need to rebound if you had your eyes on a firm gig from your school, but just take it easy. Like Rad said, the A- is at least a good sign.

Do you by any chance go to a school that curves to 1.9?

What is the 2.5? My school has C at 2.0, C+ at 2.25, and B- at 2.75, so we can't even get a 2.5 grade...

Re: 1L grade waiting thread
Not necessarily true, my prepubescent friend. Many large PD's offices aren't necessarily all that interested in high grades as long as you display interest in their type of work from the beginning of lawl school and take classes which indicate your desire to practice in that area. (This isn't true for all, just for some.)D. H2Oman wrote:gwuorbust wrote:depends on what you want to do with your lawl degreebomedtheLSAT101 wrote:holy craaaapp

Re: 1L grade waiting thread
lot of smaller law firms don't care about GPA as much. if you're fine making 50-60k a year doing shiTTTlaw, then GPA probably doesn't matter that much. what school range?bomedtheLSAT101 wrote:what can i do with my lawl degree with these numbers?gwuorbust wrote:depends on what you want to do with your lawl degreebomedtheLSAT101 wrote:holy craaaapp

Assuming he can get a job at one of these firms, which is definitely not a viable assumption.gwuorbust wrote:lot of smaller law firms don't care about GPA as much. if you're fine making 50-60k a year doing shiTTTlaw, then GPA probably doesn't matter that much. what school range?
