Re: MPRE 2015
Right. It's on a normalized curve though. So like, 110 is basically 90th percentile even though it's barely 2/3 the way to a perfect score.

But yeah, an 86 or more is a pass in all states -- congrats!

Re: MPRE 2015
Yup, TITCR. I merely watched the Barbri video/completed the accompanying outline two days before (~3.5 hours) and then reviewed the outline (~3 hours) the night before and passed in all states. And I'm a typical test-taker (meaning, usually need to invest time/effort to get preferred outcomes).smaug wrote:Two days is more than enough time to prep.
For future folks trolling the thread: if you have the time, I'd do the practice questions in addition just for the peace of mind, but you can get by with less. Bottom line: the raw score scaling is quite generous.

122.
I spent approximately 6-7 hours studying during the week leading up to the exam. I watched the Barbri video, read the Barbri mini-outline, did all the sample questions quickly and read the explanations for the ones I got wrong. Doing the sample questions was probably the most helpful since I found the actual exam had similar fact patterns.

125.
Not sure why anyone would not do this concurrent with pro-rep. Unless pro-rep is done way different at other schools, I basically had two for one studying. I would recommend less lectures and more practice problems. Advice to future takers: take your freebies from Themis, Kaplan, and Barbri and work through and review all the questions you can get your hands on.

Re: MPRE 2015
Poster above me deleted his post, but I was just riffing off the fact that he had said 85 was barely over half right (which isn't technically true, but is true in the '85 is barely more than half way to the numerical value of the perfect score' logic). It'd be like saying a 90 on the LSAT is 'half way to perfect' which is obviously literally impossible and wrong, but you know what I mean. The point I was making is there is a huge difference between the actual value of the scaled score and what it means in the context of the the normalized curvebnghle234 wrote:how did you arrive at that?NoLongerALurker wrote:Right. barely 2/3 the way to a perfect score.

110 here as well. I would say that I overstudied by 25 points, but I'm also counting it towards the prep for my Pro Resp final tomorrow.

125. I played the bar bri video in the background as I was watching TV over a couple of days, and I did maybe 20-30 practice questions and got almost all of them wrong. This test is completely meaningless.

125 as well, but study routine differed. I read the full outline once (not sure it helped much), then did the Barbri video, outlined it, and used that shorter outline for my studying. Did two practice tests (helped the most), scoring around 80%, and read through the answer explanations in the back.Swimp wrote:125. Just want to chime in so people don't assume getting a 125 is a walk in the park. Some people like Swimp can do it like that, and cheers to the gifted who can. I put in 2-3 days of solid studying. Obviously could've done less, but that's probably what I'd recommend. Just take a weekend out of your semester, that's all it takes. But do take those few days somewhat seriously.
