Waiting for 1L 2nd semester grades is killing me Forum

Also, still waiting to find out whether I passed or failed LRW. I have no idea how that grade wasn't in weeks ago.

First semester, my section had two grades in about a week before the deadline and the third either the day of or the day after (I can't recall). This time, we've got one in so far (but I'm not looking until I hear they're all up--last semester my worst grade showed up first, which made waiting for the rest that much worse).

Got an A in Constitutional Law I.

I'm surprised. I showed up to the test sleep deprived, having spent the prior night more interested in having fun than getting a good grade, and felt that the last 25% of my answers were total fail. I guess my professor did want a public policy rant after all! Or maybe the second half was intentionally designed to be obtuse, so as to provide a more legitimate mechanism for sorting out A/B/C type answers from each other.

It also helped that on the first half I mentioned all of the issues that I spotted, even ones that only barely applied.

I attribute all of my success to this school of thought. I just spray word vomit all over my exams by spotting every issue that conceivably could apply, no matter how implausible. The only exam I didn't do this on was one that was word limited. It was my worst grade this year.

3.31 first semester, 3.28 this semester. Thought I did a lot worse than last semester so I was relieved but a B- in Civ Pro II kinda fucked me. 3.29 overall and I need to stay in top 40% to get my scholarship money (almost half the tuition). Since I'm at a TTT, the $ is pretty important and one of my professors said top 40% cutoff after first semester was a 3.26. Do the GPA cut offs change a lot from first to second semester? I'm hoping it doesn't, a lot of money is riding on hundredths of a number.

BRO. I know this feel. So bad right now. Although I didn't think it was my strongest exam (actually knew it was my second shittiest next to property that I've ever sat for academically), and now I'm even more concerned that property will just fuck my GPA all up. I'm hoping Ks where I banked on doing well actually results in me doing well since it was the closest exam to a traditional issue spotter. I know a lot of people love policy and unique tests, but fuck everything about them. I just want an issue spotter, maybe some multiple choice questions and an exit.

I didn't even mean to check -_-, just wanted to add a class. Now I've gotta dread the next two days and plan out OCI accordingly. Thankfully even if we do really fuck up this semester we're still good at most firms, including some V10s (although that could all change if Ks is just meh and I actually do as bad as I think I may have in property lmao).

Yup. Still haven't gotten a single grade back, and I've already heard it will probably be three weeks before my final one is in. I wasn't stressing the first couple weeks after finals, but the anxiety is starting to build.

Indeed. Every exam has a shot. My best grade in the fall was in (what I thought) was my weakest class; even an exam you think you bombed can end up getting you good grade.
