So if I've stayed up with readings and am pretty much caught up with outlines (just need to put last week's material in), then I'm ahead of most 2L's?

Way ahead of me, and I don't really care.

Seriously. I've heard nothing but terrible things about Admin and I want no part of that class.

Bankruptcy seems like an interesting class, but the asshole property teacher that gave me a B in our 5 credit class that ended up keeping me off LR is the only one that teaches it. Fucking law schools.

Not meant to be a subtle brag, I go to a much shittier school than all of you

Greatest legal argument ever - Heckler v. Chaney:

You can't put me to death using lethal injection because using those drugs in that way is off-label use and prohibited by statute.

I have a few classes like this, only offered by one prof the entire time. Prof not only is weird grader but insists on all classes to be at 8 a.m. and significantly longer than other classes while being worth the same amount of credits.

Nope, kind of long story but it ends with me fucking hating my school's administration. If an administration promises to reconsider your scholarship package don't listen - get the fuck out of there. It'll probably end with an email in late August saying they don't have any money to give out, despite repeated emails saying "sit tight, we're finalizing the details now"

I am excited for the letters you'll be writing when they start hitting you up for alumni donations.

Sec reg is regularly taught at UVA by a prof who has, shall we say, rather rough online evals. The good news is that UVA seems to care, and this semester we had the dean (a great teacher, by all accounts) step up to teach the class. The bad news is I didn't get in.

I've been going through possible responses to the inevitable phone calls and emails in my head since August.

I didn't end up applying anywhere because they basically induced me with the scholarship money stuff not to. I emailed the various people you need to when deciding to transfer (registrar, deans, etc.) and told them the only reason I wanted to peace was because I did well enough that I should be getting serious cash.

The saga started in mid-June with "I will be sending out the information about scholarships by the middle of next week. Thanks!" and ended in mid-August with "Unfortunately, the Law School does not have the funds to increase already awarded merit scholarships, or to make new awards for our 2nd and 3rd year students." In mid-July: "At the moment, I am waiting for the dean to return to the office to firm up some final details"

I was stupid not to go ahead with it the transfer stuff, but I'm still amazed at what they told me. It's not like out of nowhere they realized they had no money, they just led us along until the year was about to start.

sorry for this turning into beach_terror's whining thread

May as well jump on the bandwagon of suing your school for false advertising. If for nothing else, then for spite.

Ah. I finally found my home! It's taken me long enough to find this thread.

I've got an offer for the summer(!!!!!!!!---never thought I'd be able to actually write that; unless of course I completely fuck up this semester), and all of my outlines are done..........but I'm really burnt out now. Not to mention, I still have two classes on the "1L" curve that have me all kinds of stressed out. I'd really love to knock this semester out of the park but with three exams back-to-back-to-back I might die trying.

Anyone with BA multiple choice please PM me. I have some BA questions with model answers, why the professor gave us sample essays for an all MC exam -- who knows...
