+ A million. Most of my friends read, highlight and outline. I don't even know what the reading assignment is half the time.
Feels slightly better that it isn't just me. There are literally more gunners in one class I'm taking now than there were people who ranked above me in my entire school 1L. I realized this about two weeks ago, and have been freaking out ever since: at least two nightmares per night involving shitty grades.

It's finally motivation time for me.

maybe those that did not as well are working harder and those that did decent or well have just gotten "comfortable" in their exam taking abilities.

This semester I think I'm just going in fresh. Not gonna wear my brain out with all that "outlining" and "reading" shit before I go into exams.

I once counted the number of cases (including squibs) from one of my crim pro assignments. 28. This is going to be the longest outline ever.

I've had good luck with finding someone else's outline, and learning the class that way.

Since I only have 2 real exams, I wasn't even planning on starting trying to prep for at least another week. And since there's only one class where I am at real risk of not getting a Gentleman's A-... it may be a good deal longer than that.

We've got a lot of good admin outlines. It should only take 3-4 days to learn that shit.

I think restructuring will be harder.

Bleh.
Midterm tomorrow (ungraded, thankfully) I haven't studied for. Moot court brief due in a week that I haven't started. Haven't read in Crim Pro in weeks. Law Review note topic sucks. Sit in class all day sending emails, kickin' it on Facebook, and talkin' to you n00bs on TLS.

Don't care.

Pass me another beer. 8)

Nope. I think the doorpeople are starting to get mad at me for not picking up my packages.

Maybe tomorrow I will pick it up. I still won't open the box, but it will make me feel like I've done something for that class.

Currently reading COA Affordable Care Act decisions and considering copying/pasting useful rule application from cases we have read into Conlaw outline that I have not even considered starting yet.

See e.g. http://www.cadc.uscourts.gov/internet/o ... 340594.pdf "The shift to the “substantial effects” doctrine in the early twentieth century recognized the reality that national economic problems are often the result of millions of individuals engaging in behavior that, in isolation, is seemingly unrelated to interstate commerce. See Lopez, 514 U.S. at 555-56."

And

"Cases since Wickard have minimized the significance of any particular individual’s behavior yet further. They have repeatedly confirmed that the actual impact of any one individual’s conduct on interstate commerce is immaterial, so long as a rational basis exists for believing that a congressional
enactment, as a whole, substantially relates to interstate commerce. Raich, 545 U.S. at 17-19; Lopez, 514 U.S. at 557."

+1. Tons of time to get ready. An outline can be made and a subject matter mastered in a week or so.

Good lord, what happened to this thread??? Last time I was here it was filled by colleagues who didn't give a f***, and now people are talking about being motivated and how it is late to start outlining--in early November??

SMH. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I came here because I really didn't give a f*** and I still don't, not to hear a bunch of closet gunners get themselves motivated.

Ok, maybe I care just a little bit, but this isn't the thread for it.

4 exams, of which 1 is a B-school exam off-the-curve and another one is P/F.

So 2 real exams—both of which you can't really outline for (Fed Inc Tax and Sec Credit)

Looks like I'm watching Millionaire Matchmaker tonight!

Couldn't fall asleep, so I got my crim pro outline up to date. 1 outline down, 2 more to go?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
