Get with the times man. I dropped out of society to live in a van by the river and teach 1Ls how to IRAC.North wrote:TSL why are you grading practice exams

Stop TLSing. Read you outline once or twice then watch a relaxing tv show or movie in bed. Then try to get as much sleep as possible. GLGL

A week is a lifetime to learn the law. If you're way stressed out, go do something else for a bit and clear your head. Then get back to the grind.JustHawkin wrote:First contracts exam is in exactly a week. Currently having a mini-panic attack of realization in torts.

Bolded is what I think I knew, but definitely needed to hear. Nothing a little racquetball and a cup of coffee isn't going to fix.Kratos wrote: A week is a lifetime to learn the law. If you're way stressed out, go do something else for a bit and clear your head. Then get back to the grind.

what do you suggest doing the night before the exam? I've heard to stop studying after dinner and just relax. I realize it's different for everyone but is that credited

Do what you did in college. Why change it up just for law school?butlerraider1 wrote:what do you suggest doing the night before the exam? I've heard to stop studying after dinner and just relax. I realize it's different for everyone but is that credited
Of course, I remember one night in college I pulled an all-nighter before an exam, but that was the exception. I wouldn't do that...

Depends on how fucked you are. If you know most of the material, reread your outline and maybe a couple important cases, watch tv & sleep early. If you don't know or understand key concepts, probably better to drill them and learn as much as you can, but still sleep 6 hrs min.gobosox wrote:Do what you did in college. I did an all nighter before my property exam last year. It was no bueno. Copped median though.

Well, luckily you don't need to hit every issue for a good grade. But even if you did, can't change it now. You'll just crush the rest of your exams.apples89 wrote:probably dun goof'd on my crim exam earlier today. already spotted 2 missing issues.

Whats done is done. You probably spotted some that others missed, that's how it goes. Don't worry. Move on to the next one.apples89 wrote:probably dun goof'd on my crim exam earlier today. already spotted 2 missing issues.

Re: TheSeaLocust's 1L Anxiety Meditation Retreat & Spa
I can still tell you all of the issues I missed on each 1L exam, and was above median on all of them. Your best bet by far is to put it out of your head and not think about it. Missing issues doesn't mean poor grades (of course if doesn't mean good grades either... but since there's nothing you can do and no way to get better info, you're really best off drinking and getting your mind off of it!)
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
