You just notarize your oath on the card that comes in the mail (the instant you put it back in the mail you are a member of the bar).shepdawg wrote:When is the absolute earliest time we can take the oath?

Have a bottle of scotch waiting. Win or lose. Will probably crack it three hours early out of nerves.
Good luck y'all.

my part-time boss wants me to stay and work until 6 so we can find out together! on the other hand, i want to leave early so i can avoid traffic and convenient means to escape this plane of existence on the freeway.

No way would I want to find out with coworkers.. especially not a boss. If I pass, I'll celebrate with them after, but otherwise no.

Re: California Bar Exam (July 2013) thread
I just read this on the cal bar website:
"Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of this list, all who took the examination must rely on the official written notification from the Office of Admissions of the State Bar of California, which will be mailed on Friday, November 22, 2013."
Could you imagine if there were errors on the list?? Either way, that'd be beyond traumatic.

Interesting that it's released at 6:00 on a Friday; same time you'd want to fire somebody. Lots of other states release in the morning -- usually the M.O. is to wait at home to see how it played out before deciding whether to go to work in the morning.

Re: California Bar Exam (July 2013) thread
everyone is just reminding me of today. just got another email from bar prep.
this one guy has been talking about november, barack friday (bar x black), casual friday (from dilbert 3 where dilbert goes on a killing spree in his office) every single day since october or something. my mom wished me good luck this morning but i kind of snapped at her, so i feel bad.

I specifically registered for this thread just so I can share the waiting game pain with others.... I work in the Law Dept for Blue Shield of CA, but no one else in the office is awaiting bar results and can empathize with my angst.... and I'm at work until 5 and don't know how I am going to restrain myself from wanting to throw up every few minutes....
ughhhhh this week has been awful.

Today sucks
Ugh. I want to be positive, but it's really hard to be after months of questioning each of my essay responses...over and over and over...

i just don't want to relearn all those subjects (although they will be more familiar), take another 18-hour exam, and wait yet another 6 months. so troublesome.

Agreed. Fortunately, I was able to block it out the last two months but this week it's all back. I've never been this nervous-sick to my stomach and eating to no end.km23 wrote:Today sucksUgh. Re: California Bar Exam (July 2013) thread
So I was pretty good about forgetting about the exam until this week (when I stumbled across this blog)..... and I made the horrible mistake of printing out the essay questions and re-analyzing them, while struggling to remember if I hit all the major issues.... i guess I just like self-torture.
this is my third time waiting for results. i want my life back
