I think releasing them as they become available is better because those who don't want to deal with constantly refreshing can simply wait until all grades are released before checking.
No. No, they cannot simply wait.
Both of my roommates managed to do it, and I probably will this semester (although, it's much easier as a 2L when grades don't matter).
Hey, wanna know how your legal career is gonna work out?
Nah, I'm cool, bro.

Even if they changed to releasing all grades at once, half the professors at CLS would be late submitting them anyway, thus defeating the purpose.
Hell, some of us haven't even turned in our term papers for fall semester seminars.

I got all my grades. I don't know how I managed to do better than ever before while working for law firm, interning with judge, being on law review... etc... I really don't know how I was not able to do it first year, when my only worry was getting the grades...

I rocked Health Law. I thought for sure it would be my lowest grade of the semester.

Came in with a 3.5 for the semester, which pushed me over the 3.4 cum laude mark. I doubt I'll make it over the magna mark in the next year and a half, so now there even less of a reason to over exert myself. The Xbox/casebook ratio for next semester looks to be improving.

Oh thank god. I just got my grade back for Military Justice. I thought I bombed it -- the multiple choice were really nit-picky, and one of my essays was really bare-bones because I ran out of time. A+. Given that I'm in school on the Army's Funded Legal Education Program, it would've been massively embarrassing if I'd f-ed that class up.
A, A, A+, still waiting for one more grade. I really should be studying for THIS semester's classes rather than obsessively refreshing the grade website, but meh. This is more fun.

Heh. Thanks. I can't pat myself on the back too much, though -- most of my professors give grade-bumps for class participation. I talked a BUNCH in my military justice class, and in my craft of judging class...so my grades are probably due less to my own natural brilliance (:P) and more to the fact that I'm irredeemably chatty.

ND, right? That gap between cum laude and magna is pretty huge.

Given your previous track record, I think you might be underestimating yourself.
Congrats.

Still gradeless. Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing for my motivation level.

Still one more grade left, but here is where I stand: A, A, A-, A-, B+. Term GPA of 3.69, which roughly correlates with a rank of top 10%. Killed it.
I am a transfer student so I will not be ranked but still this builds my confidence and *should* come in handy in future job interviews, should a transcript request be made.
