Re: 1L grade waiting thread
I'm not ready to start thinking about waiting for grades yet, but I'll be back at some point.
Plus, I'm quite sure that straight P's are in my future.

Only predictions in the A range or otherwise cocky/douchey comments go in the OP
SmittenMitten- She didn't make any predictions, but I predict a lot of stress induced vomiting and migranes

Though I'd take out that bolded sentence.

Are you aware that one of Sogui's professors clerked for Posner? He usually doesn't mention it, but I have heard that rumor.

Re: 1L grade waiting thread
why do they take so long to post grades...I understand the larger classes but 30-person classes where the exam was done in the beginning of exam period..? why does the professor need over a month to grade those things?!

Re: 1L grade waiting thread
Lol, my K's exam had STRICT word limits over 3 hours. A few 100 word limit Q's, two 200 word Q's, and then a bunch of 25 word know-it-or-you-don't type Q's. Given how short our exams were, I'm hoping he pumps em out equally fast.Kilpatrick wrote:The 9th. And it was four hours and 15 or so questions. The prof is just awesome and dedicated/obsessive about teaching.

I hate myself for thinking this
A- Civ Pro
A- Crim
A+ Property (FML...)
A LWR
such arrogance.... I'm probably going to have to go into a week long repentance once grades come out...

Re: 1L grade waiting thread
The more I think about my K's exam, the better I feel about it but I always run into this dilemma of a thought which always gets me in knots. I just see my classmates as so damn smart, that I don't think there is any way I could possibly be amongst the top 25% on any given exam. On K's, I came out feeling like I knew what I was talking about on every question, and put down good arguments, but did nothing truly distinguishing that other people won't do. I totally went with the conservative route based around things the professor said. So I'm left thinking that I did well, yet it will be good for nothing more than median. I mean, I'd like to get at least one A out of this semester. I really envy those of you who can confidently predict that you will get an A. I'd like to do the same, but I just refuse to believe it myself.

Re: 1L grade waiting thread
lol at this thread..
this seems like a good way for us to torture ourselves.. it seems so hard to know given the curve (I guess that's kind of the point of the thread to potentially show that things don't work out the way people expect a lot of the time).. The tests that seemed to go the best for me were the same ones that most people seemed to feel comfortable with, and the one that seemed hardest to me a lot of other people said felt hard..
I definitely was hoping for all As going into the tests- I got some mid-semester grading feedback in a couple of classes (where the final isn't 100% of the grade) that seemed to put me well within A range for both of those classes going into finals, but obviously that doesn't guarantee or necessarily even suggest that my final grade will be consistent with the partial grades I received. I have to admit I will be pretty frustrated if I don't get As in those to classes though. The third class (K law) I'm expecting the worst in, as I went into it with no sleep and felt awful afterward. But a lot of people said they had a hard time with it so I'm hoping the curve will give me a boost. At my school they only give solid letter grades (no pluses or minuses, but the school is going to change that soon), so if someone falls near the line I think it could really make or break because high B= 3.0 and low A= 4.0. Probably not really fair, but nothing I can do about it but hope for the best.
Man this thread is not helping my psychological health lol...
