Out of sync is a good word to describe what I felt too (shocker). I feel like I was stating/applying the law pretty well but wasn't sure if I was spotting the things the professor was testing and felt like I wasn't organizing my discussions in order. Who knows though. Startin to feel better and realizing I need to move on to con law.A'nold wrote:I felt completely out of sync on my first final. I feel very behind and unprepared. This.stinger35 wrote:First semester, I walked out of most of my exams feeling like I did pretty decent and really well in one. I was prepared and pretty sure that i would get median and was hoping for 30% or so. It turned out, I killed all of them.
This semester, I am walking out feeling like shit. But now with the grades, I want to transfer, law review, etc.
Think that I just feel that way because of the pressure?
Also, fucking hilarious thread/concept. Glad I'm not alone here.

I kept trying to force myself to not be conclusory but I felt like I wasn't 100% committed to the analysis or something and that I was throwing out a lot of fluff instead of substance. I didn't feel like I was going step by step and was instead hurrying through each liability paragraph.
The word limit was at least 50% of this. I couldn't figure out whether to focus on a thorough analysis of less issues or to do less analysis and spot more issues......I guess I went w/ the issue spotter approach. Word limits for Crim Law = sucky. Word limits for Torts = a nightmare. Yet, I have both.

Take homes are tough. I actually feel more confident walking out of in-class exams, probably since I know the curve won't be as tight. On take homes, almost everyone gonna get the important law right and there's more of a penalty if you miss something.

What happens if the questions asks you to start out with phrase "AGREE" or "DISAGREE" and I put "DISAGREE" then ended up arguing for "AGREE" but accidently didn't change it to "AGREE?" Am I screwed?

Nothing will happen. I made really stupid mistakes on my Ks final last semester, and I still walked out with an A. They know that you know your stuff by looking at your reasoning.

Hahaha, thank god I'm not the only one who has done this multiple times.betasteve wrote: Similarly, I typed 3 paragraphs on one issue, then going back to the fact pattern, I realized I missed a tiny, yet important sentence. Thus, my three paragraphs ended with a statement basically saying: However, because of fact x, the above will not apply to the ∏ because of y and z.
It was annoying.

God that was awful. I walked out of all my exams feeling good last semester. I think i may actually have just flat out failed, it took me 1.5 hours of a 3.5 exam to even understand the question and im pretty sure i left a 'come back to this' in parentheses somewhere in the first question and did not even finish the second.

lol. My final had 58 questions. 30 were deeds and we spent 5 minutes one day doing deeds.
