How much is Radnor House?
Is it possible to walk there from the school?

I'm paying 1050 for a double. Typically the singles run around 1k and the doubles are 1200.kk19131 wrote:How much is Radnor House?

Yeah you can walk to and from Radnor House, but the people who don't have cars typically just walk to the Rosemont train stop (across the street) and take the train up one stop which literally stops right in front of the law school. It'd probably be a 15 minute walk from the apartment to the school all said.

Any idea about when we are able to use the Nova gym. I will be in Radnor house for about a month before classes start and it would be cool to be able to save money and not have to get a membership somewhere.

IIRC, we didn't get our Wildcards (your student ID card) until orientation. If you contact admissions you may be able to get yours ahead of schedule. Fair warning, the gym is only open 7-7 M-F during the summer (and it's really small).akak179 wrote:Any idea about when we are able to use the Nova gym. +1 and gyms that I don't have to fight to get a treadmill (I'm assuming Nova's gym is packed with undergrad biddies)akak179 wrote:what are the good gyms in the area? preferably not too expensive

Sorry if that is offensive. I use it as a term of endearment

There's a gym on route 30 down near 476, I forget the name though (Gym Source, or something) - I'll keep an eye out next time I drive by. TBH, the Nova gym is fine as long as you go during non-peak hours (4-7 is crowded usually). The cardio machines are rarely fully booked, just FYI. Let's be real, it's Villanova - the gym is predominately bros.irishvt14 wrote:+1 and gyms that I don't have to fight to get a treadmill (I'm assuming Nova's gym is packed with undergrad biddies)akak179 wrote:what are the good gyms in the area? preferably not too expensive

How do I go about accepting my loans? And where do I do loan entrance exams? I haven't received any information on how to do this and I feel bad constantly bothering them.

I think I got mine during the first week of classes, but I don't remember exactly.kk19131 wrote:When are financial aid refunds usually given out?
Financial aid sent us an email last year with all that information, if you haven't received it yet then you probably don't have to worry about it.irishvt14 wrote:How do I go about accepting my loans? Is orientation terrible?
I keep picturing three torturous days of being told not to rape and cheat.

It's not that bad. It's not particularly fun, but it could be worse. You'll be too preoccupied with sizing up your fellow 1Ls to even notice it's orientationkk19131 wrote:Is orientation terrible?

The SBA usually hosts something at the local bar. It's the only fun thing during orientation.irishvt14 wrote:I just lol'd.

Well, I propose that we organize something of our own also...there needs to be more than one social event.

There was a party last year at someones house, it was a lot of fun - and there was free booze. If there are any 1L parties with free booze, let a TLSer know?irishvt14 wrote:Well, I propose that we organize something of our own also...there needs to be more than one social event.
