I looked at a few of the apartment complexes when I was there for open house at the beginning of the month. No clue where I'm going to live thoughKainmacbeth wrote:Coming to Richmond from Atlanta. Has anyone started looking for housing yet?

Kainmacbeth - are you the guy I was sitting next to at the open house from georgia? my car crash involved a freeway exit meridian. this probably reads a little odd to people who didn't attend an open house.

Look at TLS Forums in action! It could be me. Did I ask you "What did you see?"bakkabennu wrote:Kainmacbeth - are you the guy I was sitting next to at the open house from georgia? my car crash involved a freeway exit meridian. this probably reads a little odd to people who didn't attend an open house.

Hey all, I am currently a 1L at UR. I highly recommend living off campus as that is what most people do and I personally couldn't stand living in a dorm again. At any rate, there are some great housing options located close to campus. I recommend the Estates at Horsepen, Malvern Manor, the Village at Horsepen, and the Honeytree Apartments. All are pretty legit and super close to campus. Trust me, when finals are around, like right now, it's great to get off campus to do work and such (though I am currently sitting at my carrel)

Re: Richmond 2014
i second my section-mate's opinion.
on a side note, i am looking for a new roomie for august. i am boring, hate drinking, and got a C in everything; my 1L outlines will be useless to you. i suck at oral advocacy and shouldn't be giving you opinions about anything law school related.
if interested, let me know here so i can publicly vet you.

Helluva pitch. Good luck with that.
Looks like I'll be attending provided nothing unexpected happens in the next couple months. Getting excited.

Anybody else just REALLY wanting to get started now? The facebook page doesn't have much information and someone told me that course schedules and book lists won't be sent until mid-July.

Does anyone know when we get our booklist and schedule? I was told mid-july too, but I haven't received anything. Not that I am anxious or anything...

Re: Richmond 2014
I emailed and asked in mid-June and was told we'd receive our schedules the first part of August.
I plan on commuting to school and would love to know as soon as possible so I can get a few things organized.
I'm also really ready to get started! Actually, I'm really ready to leave my job (a week and a half left) and have a two week vacation before school starts!

Hey everyone! I'm incredibly excited to be going to Richmond in like a month though definitely starting to get nervous too. I was wondering if anyone has heard anything new on learning the class schedule or having any idea when we might know? I just want to start preparing and getting an idea and while I don't want to read all the books before school I do want to atleast have an idea of a battle plan.

Re: Richmond 2014
When I was up looking for apartments last week, I stopped by the Admissions office. They told me that the book lists would be released at the beginning of August, and that some of the choices in books for 1L are dependent upon the professor your section is assigned for each subject. I'm still anxious to get the best deals on books and to have everything in line before orientation.mayesme wrote:Hey everyone! I did too!
You can find your books on the lawschool bookstore website, choose "LawR" and then all of the 500 level courses. I had to call the bookstore, lol, I was FREAKIN' out.
