Wake Forest University School of Law 2014
Not sure if I will be going here yet. But wanted to start a thread.
Anyone heading to the admitted students day next Friday? Have you already been to one? I have some questions.

Not sure yet either... can't make admitted students stuff while I'm still on Active Duty, so I'll visit on my own later this month. Very excited!!

I'll be there for sure in August. Very pleased with my choice! If you haven't been on an admissions visit yet, you'll enjoy it for sure.

Nice man. Where are you going to live?amasingama wrote:I'll be there for sure in August. Very pleased with my choice! If you haven't been on an admissions visit yet, you'll enjoy it for sure.
And I am having trouble convincing my parents I should go. Other then Wake I have gotten into Syracuse with a 50% scholarship, Michigan State with a full one, Penn State with 15G a year, UH (no scholarship yet), and Loyola Chicago with 15g a year, and South Texas as a backup. The issue is I think Wake > other schools - with or without a scholarship from the university (though I am certainly researching outside scholarships too). I am a first gen college student and there are a lot of things they don't realize about how it all works.

How did you pay it? All I have heard from wake was an email saying I got accepted and then a congratulatory letter from Dean Morant.zunde2 wrote:Sent in my deposit a few weeks ago, very excited for the fall

I emailed Jennifer and she said send a check for 300 to:
Attn Admissions
Wake Forest University School of Law
PO Box 7206
Winston Salem NC 27109
I never received confirmation they got the check, but I did get my scholarship letter again and it updated to my status checker.

Did you actually receive a hard copy of your scholarship letter? All I ever received was the email.zunde2 wrote:I emailed Jennifer and she said send a check for 300 to:

No, I received the scholarship letter via email in late January, then Melanie Nutt re-sent it to me once they received my seat deposit. But the letter itself was no different and it mentioned nothing of my seat deposit, so I am only assuming it was re-sent because they received my seat deposit

There is a 80-90% chance I will be there in the fall. I'm not sure what else OSU can do to sway me otherwise, and the few schools that haven't gotten back to me probably won't include any significant scholarship offers. I have to admit: I am pretty excited to live in NC. All I ever hear is "beautiful" and "amazing" and "gorgeous."

Congrats everybody on getting in to Wake. I am a current 1L. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. And, if you haven't already, take a look at this thread: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... =4&t=51759. A current 3L started it during their 1L year, and it has been going ever since. It has a lot of great information.

I'm almost 90% sure going to Wake, so I figured I would finally make a post after months of browsing the forums. Anyone going to ASD 3/18? Have not found any posts for the upcoming event...

Still waiting to hear from UNC but I doubt I will hear from them before the April 1st deadline so I will probably be putting in my deposit. Anyone know anything about scholarship leftovers. Have not heard anything yet but I really need one. Anyone going on 3/25?

Quite sure they make scholarship offers thru June. I did call the admissions office and some lady said they were all disbursed in Jan. when reality is a large majority received offers first week of March.boom_cs wrote:Still waiting to hear from UNC but I doubt I will hear from them before the April 1st deadline so I will probably be putting in my deposit. I received an email yesterday about this: "To date, all scholarship funds have been awarded. If funds become available after April 1 (first seat deposit deadline for scholarship recipients) we will notify you if you have been selected for an award.TammyC.Hsu wrote:Quite sure they make scholarship offers thru June. Re: Wake Forest University School of Law 2014
Tired of waiting on Chapel Hill, Emory didn't offer enough money, and Wake has the most beautiful campus I've seen in my years of visiting college towns. Sending in my deposit this week, I'll be seeing you guys in the Fall.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
