Didn't really mean you. I am concerned some of ya'll might underestimate how many of your peers lurk here... And, if they are, this thread's title is gonna draw their attention.Flips88 wrote:I'm not in their section so I have no idea who they are talking aboutIAFG wrote:...do you guys think this is really the right forum for this conversation?

Since I haven't seen this entirely cleared up elsewhere, is CLR curved or not?bjsesq wrote:Let's just call it what it is.Flips88 wrote:Fuckword limitsCLR. That is all.

concur...in the past I've always had to stretch my papers to make them long enough. This is the first time I'm trying to cut stuff out. Sucks.Flips88 wrote:Fuck word limits. That is all.

Good enough. Though telling my friends at Penn and Michigan this and having them go "wait yours isn't pass/fail!?!?" is disconcerting enoughbjsesq wrote:Graded, yes. What's yours? Ours is 1400. I was at 1750 last night, then axed a case I decided was useless analysis, and am now sitting at 1471.Eugenie Danglars wrote:concur...in the past I've always had to stretch my papers to make them long enough. Umm, just for clarification: CLR isn't technically curved, but all of the CLR profs still follow the curve or grade below it.

Ours is pages, not words. It can only be six pages double-spaced, and I'm at 2.75 single spaced, and I'm just finishing up the last element. Sooo yeah.Flips88 wrote:What's yours? Ours is 1400. 1400? Ours is 2000. We had a 1200 limit for the ungraded one. I don't think I could get this done in 1400.Flips88 wrote:What's yours? Ours is 1400. Well what is covered in your memo? Ours is a statement of facts, a thesis paragraph, and 2 out of 4 elements.Icculus wrote:1400? Ours is 2000. We had a 1200 limit for the ungraded one. Our next memo will be a rewrite that includes the other 2 elements, questions presented, and conclusion.

Ours is just the discussion section, so a thesis paragraph, the 2 elements in question, and a conclusion. Memo 2 adds question presented, fact section, and applicable statute along with a more in depth conclusion.Flips88 wrote: Well what is covered in your memo? So a comparable amount of stuff but 600 words more? Jealous.Icculus wrote:Ours is just the discussion section, so a thesis paragraph, the 2 elements in question, and a conclusion.
