I saw lots of people at the Washington Square Dog Run that had dogs as big or bigger than mine. Most did not appear to be students though

D'ag or Mercer?
I've heard that D'ag is the place to be to meet people, but Mercer is nicer. I didn't get a chance to visit at the ASW. Is D'ag liveable? Is it quiet?

I would not live in Dag. Too close, small, and gave me a weird vibe. Liked Merc WAY more. YMMVneyaae wrote:D'ag or Mercer?

One of my friends had a 100lb mastiff her senior year at NYU, so you're not the only one. And that dog run is pretty great... There's also a couple of good ones over by the river, between school and Battery Park.bdubs wrote:

Anyone else an NYU alum and get this weird email about email addresses?
Also, can we get new NYU email addresses yet? I'm apparently... collecting them now.

anybody know what our chances of actually getting into d'ag or mercer are? in other words, do they fill up and some people get bumped out even if they applied, and have to find their own off campus housing?
also is there a deadline/priority deadline for the housing app?

I wish on-campus housing wasn't so ridiculously expensive. Are a lot of you thinking about living on-campus?

The LES. I had a friend with a big dog who lived in Battery Park City, and another who lived in I think 99 Gold (in the FiDi), so it is definitely doable if you want to stay in Manhattan. However, a lot of people with pets chose to move out to Bklyn, either near Prospect Park or by the water.bdubs wrote:Do you know what neighbourhood she lived in?whathojeeves wrote:One of my friends had a 100lb mastiff her senior year at NYU, so you're not the only one. Funny because LES is where I was looking, glad to know that is a doable neighbourhood with a reasonable sized dog.whathojeeves wrote: The LES. Definitely doable, I knew three or four people on my street alone on the LES who had dogs.bdubs wrote:Funny because LES is where I was looking, glad to know that is a doable neighbourhood with a reasonable sized dog.whathojeeves wrote: The LES. Yeah well the rest of you biglaw rock stars can get one after school. My PI salary definitely won't allow me to have one of those. Ever.RJ127 wrote:FTFEveryone. At least your debt will be minimal! If any of us strike out at OCI, it's going to be a tough uphill battle. #motivationtogrind.law_monkey wrote:Yeah well the rest of you biglaw rock stars can get one after school. I think it started working about 10 days after I deposited. I did deposit over their spring break though, so it may have taken longer than it would regularly.Philip_J_Fry wrote:For those of you that already got their nyu email addresses going, how long did it take from the time that you paid your deposit? Damn Futurama is quality. I can't bring myself to watch the fifth season though. The first episode seemed... off.Philip_J_Fry wrote:For those of you that already got their nyu email addresses going, how long did it take from the time that you paid your deposit? Give the season a try, it'll grow on you. Half the reason Futurama is quality is that each consecutive viewing is more hysterical than the last.ahduth wrote:Damn Futurama is quality.
