Hey people. I am going to be moving to Chicago at the end of June so that my wife can start work. Since I'll have two free months with hardly anything to do, I was thinking about going to a Cubs game. Anybody interested in meeting up sometime in July or August for a pre 1HELL get together?

Put me down as potentially interested. My wife starts work mid-July and if childcare is taken care of I might be free...and they way the cubs are playing tix should be cheap.

I'm done with work next week (woot woot!) and was thinking of arranging a TLS meetup after 4th of July; my dad would never forgive me if he knew I was attending a Cubs game, but I won't tell if you won't

Doing all this FinAid acceptance stuff at 2:30 a.m. because I'm leaving tomorrow to go to South America for 10 days. They say the window is 2 weeks and basically I'd get back with 36 hours to finish all this stuff and I'd rather not have to worry. Doing the "entrance counseling" online right now. Booooorrrrring

Have you gotten the email asking you to go accept the award, doing the promissory note and entrance counseling stuff for loans?

Yeah, that's what they tell you... but they lied last year. We didn't find out until much later. We all figured it out through the blackboard rosters.

My sis in law has done some consultant work for them...apparently they really do open meetings with prayer. While this doesn't really bother me as a concept, it has to be weird.

Quite frankly, their chicken sandwich and waffle fries outweigh any religious or homophobic corporate ideals. It's not like I am working there.
