LOL thanks. Actually got added to the group earlier today. And not a former OSU student, but I grew up (and currently live) in Ohio (near Toledo) so I was raised a bit of a buckeye fan. Really never thought I'd be so excited to go to Mich.Tanicius wrote:Ha. My best friend who matriculated there last year was a former OSU student too. Btw, PM one of us if you'd like help being added to the Facebook c/o 2014 group.sanguar wrote:Scholarship offer showed up in my Mail and Money this morning! 45k... that pretty much seals the deal for me now (have to wait to see some - nearly guaranteed, but have to be certain - things from my wife's job before we can conclusively commit). Michigan Law class of '14 here I come!(Can't quite bring myself to say "Go Blue", but I'll at least promise not to wear my Ohio State sweatshirt in public on game day.)

I'm going to be too busy editing the law review and winning the moot court to be class president. Vice president maybe?r6_philly wrote:Is there anything you are not gunning for? I should vote you for class president already.er doctor wrote:I'm a very loving person.

Ahhhhhh trying to make a move on a summer apartment but the person hasn't emailed me back. If I like his or her answer I might have my living situation figured out for my first year.

Awesome. Did you manage the elusive May to May lease or you subletting and then LC? I still can't believe how cheap the rent is in AA and the lack of brokers' fees.AreJay711 wrote:Ahhhhhh trying to make a move on a summer apartment but the person hasn't emailed me back. Re: Michigan Class of 2014
I haven't received a reply yet. Right now it is just for the summer but the posting said the current occupant wasn't renewing the lease. If it is the same price I'll be getting it for the whole year though to be sure. If not I'm leaning toward the LC just to avoid trying to sublet the place myself.TheStrand wrote:Awesome. Re: Michigan Class of 2014
Rent is cheap in AA depending on where you're coming from. I've heard complaints about how expensive it was and how cheap it was. As for finding a sublet for the summer, yeah, you should be able to pick up something for hardly anything. I know that I'm just wanting to avoid paying full rent for the summer and would be pretty willing to let my place go for dirt cheap.TheStrand wrote:Awesome. Yeah...given how busy we're going to be in LS, I guess it will become even less of a big deal over the next three years, too.TheStrand wrote:Hah I did the same. I still don't see what the big deal is about FB

I think I'm nearly as excited to give you guys Michigan Kool-Aid next week as you are to visit. ASW played a huge role in my decision and I hope you all have an amazing time.

When I was in undergrad at MIchigan State I visited my friend in ann arbor and bought a Michigan tshirt, as I always loved Michigan so much more than state. Every time I would wear it I would get angry stares, and then finally some Michigan-hater stole it from the laundry room while it was in the dryer. At ASW, I am buying a new one!
