Yeah, they are. The Clef Hangers are the premier men's a capella group on campus (I was actually surprised to hear the music in the background).SupraVln180 wrote:Lol it's not bad. I have no idea about the current clefs but Anoop Desai (of American Idol) was a clef hanger here. He was a Southern Studies major and wrote his thesis on bbq. Fun fact.

Ohh I understand, so they continuously recruit new people into the group. That's pretty dope. I was thinking it was just a group of current students who decided to start a group, didn't realize it was more tradition-esque.

I want to write my thesis on bbq! lol. That actually sounds like a cool topic is there are different types depending on the state/region.....not sure if it brings anything to the table as far as original research and contributions, though.innernetp wrote:I have no idea about the current clefs but Anoop Desai (of American Idol) was a clef hanger here. For my debut post in the "class of 2014" thread, I've decided that this thread is deficient in Black Falcon.

Zero. He's on pace to graduate in three years. I would count on one more year, and two is not out of the question but highly unlikely.SupraVln180 wrote:what are the chances Harrison Barnes stays for 4 years?
If UNC wins the championship this year, Barnes, Henson, and Zeller are all likely leaving for the draft.

I've read online that Barnes is leaning toward staying for another year. I wish we could keep this whole team together.showNprove wrote:Zero. He's on pace to graduate in three years. +1. There's no way Roy signed Barnes for just one year. We're not Kentucky (see Wall, John).Moral_Midgetry wrote:I've read online that Barnes is leaning toward staying for another year. They'll all definitely be back next year. Ever since Larry Drew peaced out the team has really meshed together for the first time since 2009. I think they'll want to stick around and keep developing that.

Re: UNC Class of 2014
I'd really like to see how dirty they'd be if they all stayed next year. They seem to play down to inferior teams and another year would probably help that problem.innernetp wrote:Vacuous truth right there.showNprove wrote:Zero. He's on pace to graduate in three years. Marvin Williams left after his freshman year because (a) we had just won a championship, and (b) he was going to be a top-five pick. If we are graced with a championship this year, I think Barnes will make the same decision.
At summer orientation for incoming freshmen, Brandan Wright introduced himself as being a member of the basketball team and saying he would only be here for one year. Harrison Barnes is not Brandan Wright, but Roy "rented" Wright for one year much like Kentucky did for John Wall. Everyone knew Wright was a one-and-done player. We're not Kentucky, but we're not above signing supremely talented players who intend to jump to the NBA after one year. Many people expect next year's freshman James McAdoo to do the same thing.

I was saying that that's a HUGE if... IF we win the championship this year. That is the vacuous truth. Sheesh. I'm sorry. I thought you were suggesting that my opinion was uninformed. Re: UNC Class of 2014
It's true, it COULD happen, but not if we keep getting all these slow starts. But if we do what it takes to win and win I will be the last person complaining about it. I was abroad when we won in 2009. Not even going into my emotions on that one.showNprove wrote:I'm sorry. I thought you were suggesting that my opinion was uninformed.
