Okay I'll get excited about ASD, but my excitment is going to be tempered unless I get some money. I fully expect I'm going to be one of those that would have to pay sticker and if that is the case I'm not really sure I can justify attending. I agree though, this seems like a pretty fun group and it would be great to attend law school with all of you.
We all love each other SO much.

=D I love margaritas, at least.

I know what you mean upfish. I'm a city person too, but I plan on living as close to campus as financially possible. I guess I put a premium on convenience during school.

Yeah. I plan to kind of 9-5 the school part of school, and wing everything else. If when I visit I feel it's too far, I might suck it up and live in Boulder. I've only been in the Denver area once on my way to Breck, so it will be a learning experience.

I've actually had success with that strategy before. Living further away can eliminate the distractions and make you focus while you are on campus.

I worried about the same thing too. Haha, well I guess I can count out doing anything Thursday evening in Boulder, because I know what I will be doing now.

Can't believe I'd completely missed this thread! Thanks you, upfish, for the linkage.
So I got my stipend request approved today and will almost certainly make the March ASD. But for all those flying in, how are you getting to Boulder? I tried searching for flights and none are arriving to Boulder; I'm assuming the next closest airport is Denver. Taking a taxi from Denver to Boulder would be
brutal on my wallet and I'm still too young to rent a car. I doubt the CU student I'm rooming with could make it all the way to pick me up. What to do?

I'm flying into Denver and taking the bus to Boulder. It goes direct from DIA to Boulder (I think it is called the AB). Not sure how much it costs though.

If you're comfortable answering, what's employment for your class looking like, and is it what you expected?

It's bad wherever you are, but the good news is that it's picking up.
I would say that about a third of my class has some sort of job lined up for next year. About 10-15 with clerkships, 10 or so with big firms, about 10-20 with government (DOJ honors, DAs, PDs), and then 10-20 or so with small firms.
